Works great, no drivers needed in Windows 10. Protrudes more than some (good and bad).
Worked great without installing drivers in Windows 10. Stable connection to my 5GHz network 2 floors below.Because the antenna is detachable, it does protrude out more than on some other USB WiFi adapters I've bought. This could be a good thing since it puts the antenna further away from metal desktop cases, and that can help the signal. It also means you can probably find a wired antenna that works with it for optimized antenna placement. If you need your desktop or laptop as compact (or as close to the wall as possible), though, the MSRM WA916 is about 1cm more compact than this one (but without detachable antenna).

Performs exactly as you would expect
I'm about 20ft away from my router (Nighthawk), but I built my computer with no CD drive or wifi as I wanted hard wired. Using the TP link powerline adapter, I'm capped at 80-100Mbps (I pay for 200Mbps and get that on my phone easily). I wanted a cheap, removable wifi adapter and this one seemed like it would do the trick pretty well.Since I didn't have a disk drive, I left my Ethernet cable plugged in so it could find a download the necessary driver. This took all of 5-10 seconds (look at the times in the pic) as I could almost immediately search for available wifi signals. I connected to my 5GHz signal, now I'm getting 215Mbps with BETTER ping than on my TP link powerline adapter. Not that there's any noticeable real world difference, but it's a thing.I'll update this review if I notice anything meaningful.

Great Product
This was only $15 with a $3 coupon. I got it in 2 days with prime shipping. I unpacked it, plugged it in, and my desktop was connected to internet after typing in my wifi password. I didn't even have to install any drivers. Awesome product. Super easy to install! Oh yea, and you can't beat the price if you need to install wifi on a PC!

Helped keep an aging laptop alive
This was bought for an older laptop that doesn't pick up 5ghz bands. We have gigabit internet yet this laptop was getting 40-60 mbps with speed tests. I plugged this in, went to device manager to automatically find an update for it. And then switched over to my 5ghz wifi signal. The speeds went from 40-60 to 140-190. While its definitely not as good as wired it is a large improvement. Videos no longer buffer. Downloads no longer take ages.

Great speeds when it works!
My last wifi USB receiver got me 40-80 MB/S, this thing got me up to 107 MB/S! Easy to install, and great reception. Plug and play is a great thing! Gave it 5 stars originally. Then.....3 months later it couldn't keep a connection with my computer USB ports. It would glitch on and off. I first noticed the glitchiness in my online class as a predictable 3 second shut off for every 10 seconds of talk time. 2 months later and it's totally kicking me off the internet entirely and I have to fiddle with it constantly. I figured I bought a dud and bought another one. Surprisingly, it couldn't even talk to my computer at all through my ports (yes I tested my ports with other devices and they're fine), and the software installation wouldn't complete. I had to uninstall it just to get internet back in any form. Going with a completely different brand now.

Works and durable.
I installed this on my wife's laptop to avoid changing her onboard card. I left the antenna attached and hoped she would be careful with it. Well, she broke the antenna and the plastic housing completely after about 4 days. I thought it was toast, but I noticed the light was still blinking and left it alone. She complained about the bright light flashing so I put a piece of electrical tape over the light and 2 months later, it is still doing it's job. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

I am amazed
I bought an ASUS refurb, high dollar, usb stick. It worked like a charm for about 8 months and for the price of $45 I was disappointed. This stick gets 25% more bandwidth for $20!!!!! 135MBps every time!!! If it lasts a year and fails due to heat, I will buy another in a second. Keep your fingers crossed for me since I haven't seen any long term reviews.

Pulls in the signal
My father recently moved to a nursing home. He has an older tower computer with a small, USB wireless adapter, and the signal in his room was not good. It was easy to install the software for this device on Windows 7. I then shut down the computer, plugged in the wireless adapter and on boot up, it was recognized. I used the utility to connect to the wireless network at 300Mbps with 100% signal strength and 100% link quality. I had to adjust the angle of the antenna just a little to get the perfect signal. As another person noted, it does stick out maybe two to three inches on the back of the computer, but that's a good thing. That gets it past the cables and allows the antenna to move around. The computer is sitting on top of a desk that's pulled away from the wall. So, there is plenty of room in the back of the computer to adjust the antenna. Here's a tip for positioning the antenna. Imagine putting the antenna through the hole in a doughnut, and then imagine the doughnut expanding outward in a very large circle. Tilt the antenna so that the doughnut hits the access point.
