a good value (low priced) read, at times a bit lengthy. Written mostly in the first person, its about the life of a prince in India when there were maurading armies and many Kings/Sultans etc trying to rule. There are insights into his thoughts and feelings and reflexions on his enemies and the politics of ruling. Obviously these also describe his relationships and the title refers to his relationship with his first wife. However, dont be misled, the title is not the substance or theme of the book.
