Running 2x RW-20's on one end of 225 peninsula and they give good flow throughout the tank
Lots of flow. Running 2x RW-20's on one end of 225 peninsula and they give good flow throughout the tank. The magnets are a little weak and wish they were stronger but my acrylic is thick. Tried mounting to the tank which is 1" acrylic and they wouldn't hold so had to mount them on the overflow box which is working fine. Running them with a JBwave and love the patterns they can make. Would not consider them quiet by any means when above 75% but maybe they just need to be broken in more. I'll update my review if things change.

I'm thinking the RW-14 would have been just fine. Other than that
I got the RW-20 because it was the same price as the RW-14. The though was that I could turn down the strength of the flow.I've got a 110g 48" L tank and this is WAY too powerful. Not only is it on the lowest strength setting, I also had to rig up a cover to reduce the flow even further. I'm thinking the RW-14 would have been just fine.Other than that, the pump is great. Virtually silent, makes great waves and moves the water in a great pattern.

Great, but a little TOO great.
Very powerful. Using it on my 220G reef tank and I still I have to keep it on the lowest setting. Actually, the only reason im taking off a star is because the lowest setting isnt low enough? If you're going to allow us to adjust the power, why not actually allow us to turn it down to a level that does NOT cause a hurricane in the tank?

Loads of water moving power
The media could not be loaded. ย Just installed the RW-20 in a 94 gallon cube and this thing moves water like no other! I cannot believe one single pump can move this much water around. This is all the wave maker I need in this tank. It has replaced 2 Koralias and 2 modded MJ1200's. It has more power than all those combined!Update: too much power! Get a smaller one. Blows large grain sand around like nothing.....on level 1 !!! It blows snails of rocks...then it moves the rock itself! So I cannot use most of the features/settings because it has too much power. This pump would be great for a 200+ gallon tank. Other than that, zero problems so far. I will probably sell it and get a smaller one for the 94G cube.

A real bargain in the long run.
Tried them all, Ecotech rusted inside of two years and was very expensive. Gyre started falling apart right away and would stop on low settings so they were not usable. Tunze was very expensive and fell apart and the controller was a plastic hobby box that had membrane buttons that never knew if they worked and had to press so hard. Have an older model of this unit 5400ghr and still works after 6 or 7 years and is quiet. Yes quiet. I purchased this one because it takes up less space but just as quiet. These things go on forever in my use. Also own two of the model down and they are really old and still work. Only use this one head for my 180 reef.

It really blows
This pump can really move some water. I have it connected to my Apex with the Jebao/Apex adapter module and both of them are working perfectly together. This one is much bigger than the WP25 that is on the opposite side of the tank and therefore is not set to as high of a percentage for operating. The profiles and random timers I have created are all doing great to provide random flow within the tank.If I were to complain about something it would be that you can't buy the pump without the included controller. Since I have this connected to the Apex, I don't need the controller that is included. They should package these either with or without the controllers/power supplies. That would make it cheaper to buy.

So happy I went with this vs
Bought the RW-20 for my 8' 240G freshwater, I run it at about 40% and there is a ton of flow and no noise at all. For the price vs. a vortec or a tunze... I can honestly say I could never see myself being unhappy with this pump... as long as it holds up over time. Going to get a smaller one for the other side, but not in a rush because even just the RW-20 alone is almost enough for me. So happy I went with this vs. the gene Jebao MPs.I have 1/2" glass and it's very well mounted. Was worried about that based on some comments about people with 3/4".

Save your money and buy 2 sunsuns for 10 for the pair and you will be much happier.
This wave maker stops working every 3 months. It requires constant Cleaning And after a while it will stop working all together. Save your money and buy 2 sunsuns for 10 for the pair and you will be much happier.
