Works great! Love knowing that I'm showering in clean water without the horrible chlorine smell.

Hard to tell if it's working
I really don't notice a difference with this filter in place, but I suppose it's doing something I can't see and that's why I keep buying them! I should have my water tested before and after by a lab in order to tell if it's doing what it says it does.

Freshly Green
I bought this product due to its practicality, and non cartridge function. It fits the standard shower unit in my bathroom. I love that the filter unit is medium in size (compared to large shower filters that stick out) and that the filter last several months, before it's time for a new one.*2013 update.I've had this filter for about a year now, I was originally having harsh skin reactions to chlorinated water, my face would burn, and my dermatologist couldn't figure out why (showers were unpleasant). Since I've been using this filter I haven't had any problems with my skin or my hair. It all depends on the harshness of the chlorinated water in your household.

Could tell the difference right away. Hair felt better and no more itchy skin.

Too noisy
Love the idea of this product and the water flow but it was ultimately too noisy to keep so I returned it.

Still testing, but not impressive so far...
Today is July 11, 2012. I started using this product in early November 2011.Yesterday I came across some shocking research findings on the negative effects of chlorine in tap water, and I decided to test the chlorine levels at my house. I got a chlorine test kit from the swimming pool store for $10.99. It should last for years. I was surprised to find that the level of chlorine in my tap was exactly the same of the level coming from this shower filter! In other words, it is not filtering chlorine at all! I wondered if it has EVER filtered chlorine in its 8 months of use, and if so, by how much and for how long!?So, I decided to do a test. I just bought one more of these filters today. This time I am going to test it immediately when I install it, and then once a week until it no longer filters chlorine. I will do a cold water test and a hot water test.I have been using this product for only 8 months, and it is only me using it! It is supposed to last one year with one person using it, so I have my doubts about it already, but I want to approach this scientifically.I have recommended this product to 5 of my friends, and last night I had to write them an email letting them know my disturbing findings on the product's filtering, or lack thereof.Stay tuned for my experiment's results...Jeremy*****RESULTS- Day 1: July 17th, 2012. The new filter just arrived today and I tested it just now.ppm is "parts per million"----With No filter (straight tap water):Hot water: 0.5 ppm chlorineCold water: 1.5 ppm chlorine----With the brand new filterHot water: between 0 and 0.5 ppm chlorineCold water: between 0.5 and 1 ppm chlorineSO, it does appear to filter out SOME of the chlorine when it is brand new, but for how long does this filtering last? If the unfiltered chlorine level was high, unlike at my house, i wonder if this filter would even put a dent in the chlorine amount!!! Stay tuned for my weekly result posting. Keep in mind that the filter will be used about once a day by me, and rarely is anyone else using it, so over time we will see just how effective this thing is and how many showers until it is just wasting space.

Happy with product
We've been happy with this product. It seems like it has lasted a while, though it IS hard to tell when you need to get a new one. I do think I might now buy one made with a cartridge so I can just switch that out when the time comes. This has been a good filter though.

Best declorinating filter we have used
Can't use a pool test kit to test this filter. It would take too long to explain. Check out the Rainshow'r website and read the educational resources and understand how the technology works. We've used this filter for about 2 years and it does what it says-converts chlorine into a harmless soluble chloride coming out so your body/skin doesn't absorb the chlorine. The other brands on the market are a waste of money because they don't have enough KDF-55 to do the job. This by far is the best declorinating filter we have found and most affordable lasting a year or longer depending on how many people are in your household. And it's made in the USA :)

Healthiest thing to do for your body.
Easy to install and have always worked as the company claims. Removes chlorine and other chemicals from your water. Your skin feels so great and of course is not soaking up chlorine, etc.We have used them for years and will continue.

Great, EXCEPT doesn't filter Chloramine!
Does NOT filter out Chloramine, a common chlorine agent in drinking water of some municipalities.
