Nothing will grow
I bought this hoping to grow chanterelle mushrooms because I love them. I buried these sawdust under our spruce and watered them daily for a very, very long time, but nothing grew last year or this year, although the summer is hot and it rains every day. I am a good gardener and even a stick will bloom for me.😄But I will say honestly that there is no point in buying this product because nothing will grow for sure.🤷♀️

False Advertising FRAUD
Experts Agree this products advertising claims are based on untrue and nonscience. A worthless bag of wood chips with no chance of growing chanterelle mushrooms is what you will get. This mushroom does not grow on dead wood chips, only on live healthy tree roots. Researchers have been trying for many years/decades to commercialize this process but have failed and this fact is well documented. If Mr Marewood has actually developed a successful process to farm this organism it would be a really important scientific development and would have world wide recognition from mycological scientists and mushroom farmers. There is no (zero) evidence that anyone that has purchased this product has ever had any success growing chanterelle mushrooms from the$15 bag of wood chips! Going back to reviews of this product for 4 years the only reason for good reviews are based on quick shipping and nice packaging, and no damage to the wood chips (ha ha). No one has the moral fortitude to tell the king (you know who) that he is naked.

Chanterelle Mushroom (Cantharellus cibarius) Mycelium Spawn
2 years ago I planted chanterelle mycelium near our cabin. Nothing happened since then but – mini-success! – I had not been in the cabin for a while but a friend sent me a photo of a beautiful chanterelle that she found on one of the spots where I had planted it and had given up hope they ever would come up (knowing that it is not easy to grow these mushrooms). If I find more of them next year I will bump up my 3 stars to 5!

Do not buy
You will receive a sandwich snack baggy of unspecified dirt and a crumpled note. This is a highly unprofessional product and the conditions which the product arrives in and the instructions provided are not nearly controlled enough to produce a safe and effective mycelium for fruiting mushrooms. please find another vendor, I would give 0 stars if I could.

I love that these are available!
I dug down to my elm tree's roots and planted the spores, then lightly covered them, but they haven't grown any mushrooms yet, probably my fault. I usually find these in the wild under evergreen trees with lots of leaf litter, so I may try this again in the fall.

Deceptive business
It was just dirt in the bag. I followed the instructions, and nothing happened. It is a deceptive but "clever" business - Dirt in the small plastic bag - 100% margin.

Does not look promising
A small bag of dry wood shavings that does not appear to contain mycelium. I followed the instructions and " planted " it on my backyard. Will give an update if anything grows
