A slight ammendation on my first report
My first impression was summed up this way, "Small, sturdy, handsome, industrial but a devil to use. This will take some time to adjust to." After using it for a while here's a slightly different report: "Beautiful metal sandwich and your 'stuff' goes in between. A great idea and a truly great product if you never go through metal detectors, never use paper currency and never need to get to your I.D., credit cards, membership cards or registration and insurance documents ... without touching every thing else in the stack. It's a cool idea for folks who have one credit card and one I.D. and no cash." For me, not so much. I bought a $15 real leather wallet today and all's right with the world. And I have all my stuff again.

SOLID
I purchased two knock-off similar wallets before purchasing this one because I just wanted to get rid of my dad wallet. I wish I would've just purchased this from the beginning because I totally wasted my time and money. The other wallets were cheaply made with screws falling out/weak elastic bands and sharp edges. This wallet is solid and built like a tank. I heard the titanium one can even stop a bullet but I don't think I need that much strength for now lol.I don't have many cards and this wallet fits in my front pocket like a dream. Sometimes I forget it's even there. It's very comfortable and I'm pretty sure my other fat wallet was causing some back problems. I haven't felt any pain since I switched.

Built to last
bought this as a gift for my brother in law but I've had my own ridge wallet for years. only have good things to say about about it. I'm not easy on my stuff and mine still looks new.

Nice and expensive
My husband likes the way it works. I don’t like the price

Surprisingly Great
When I first began using this wallet, I was skeptical. It >felt cheap< -- two pieces of aluminum held together by an elastic band did not seem to warrant the price. It also felt awkward to use, as I was unable to get cards out of it as quickly as my previous "slider" wallet. But after weeks of use, I have changed my mind. After time, the wallet has grown on me. It is SLIM, which makes it easier to carry in front and jacket pockets. I recommend getting the band and not the clip to maximize flatness. I have also become accustomed to removing cards from it and can do so much faster than when first purchased; it just took practice. Finally, this little wallet can hold quite a bit -- I carry seven cards and some cash and hardly notice. It is expensive, and that is a difficult hill to climb for many. But as an EDC item that is going to see a lot of pocket time, and with the protection it brings, it has been worth the investment.

Nice, but too expensive
I really like the product, but I feel it’s a little overpriced for what it is. Wish I would have given a cheaper option a shot.

No "Hinge"
Yes You can hold a lot of cards in a minimized fashion but this is just a "pocket" vs a "hinge". I did not mess with it much but I found it impossible to access the card in the middle of the stack without taking all the cards out. Not useful. Also, I agree about the surface. Not only did my order come with visible marks (was able to wash away with light water) but I noticed more marks after set up. Not happy. Not to mention the metal, all protective and "RFID blocking", it adds extra weight that is unwelcome. And for the price this is TOO much for what is is.

Easy to carry, a bit awkward to use
I am getting used to the wallet as I have always carried a traditional leather bulky one. Everything is going well except for the money band is a bit difficult to use due to the width of it!

Scratched in less than a week
The Ridge wallet works as advertised. It's compact, solid, and takes up much less space in your pockets. However, after less than a week of use, mine has already scratched, which is completely unacceptable for something that is claimed to be so durable and as such has a lifetime guarantee. I have been keeping it in my front pocket and made a point of ensuring not to put anything else metal in with it, such as my phone, keys or coins. Despite taking care in this way, it has still somehow come out with a scratch just by the finger indent (as seen in the attached photo). I could understand if I purposely ran a pointed steel object over the wallet to carve out the scratch, but this should never be happening from general use in under 7 days. For £62 I feel thoroughly ripped off and will be returning the item.

Ridge titanium wallet
Got this as a present as I wanted a minimalist wallet as very seldom carry cash on me anymore. I use my phone and cards for transactions and I got this specifically to replace a wallet which was getting to bulky. My criteria for getting this was- small- robust- RFID protectionAs other people have said put regularly used cards in the front and least used at the back, I now only carry with my what I have to. Accessing the cards you need to make sure you fan out the cards and remove what you want. It takes some practice but it is do-able.It costs more than other wallets but the material and construction is what makes the difference. You can get a cheaper version but build quality is poor. I don't like paying twice because its cheap its more expensive in the long run.I have yet to use it on travels but will report back when I do.

Quality product
Saw some adverts online for the Ridge wallet. It's cost is more than I would normally spend on a wallet, but given the current Covid situation, nearly all my purchases these days are using quick pay cashless touch type with debit cards. So I wanted something that would work for a few key cards and some 'emergency just in case cash'.This wallet looks good, its different (in a good way), and seems to work well for RFID blocking. I've tried using cards that are partially in/out of the wallet and the payment reader will not pick up the card. The card needs to be about 1/3 of the way out to work, with the others safely behind the protective Ridge case sides. Very slim in pocket, not too heavy. Its really well made and materials and build appear to be of high quality. Got after sales email from Ridge offering support and any issues at all to get in touch with them, that was a nice re-assuring touch. Only unknown is how long the elastic cash holder will keep its elasticity, but given the lifetime warranty, if starts to get saggy, I'll be in touch with Ridge. Until then, its being used everyday since purchase.

Expensive, great engineering and looks, pain to use..
Not overly impressed, beautifully engineered but pain in the ar@e to use ... maximum number of cards stored should not exceed 8 ... anything above this makes accessing them in a quick manner impossible.. the external money band is ok but you just think after adding a few notes “ looks cr@p now” .. destroys the streamlined look of the wallet.

Brilliant!
I don't write a lot of reviews on Amazon as I just dont have the time. Wrong I know, as I along with many others rely on product reviews! So here goes....I had been looking for a while at The Ridge Wallet as I have an unhealthy obsession with wallets and reducing my EDC. I have to carry a lot of stuff with me every day for work, 2 phones, 2 wallets, keys, PPE, etc and HATE the fact that weight of everything is stunting my growth!Having collected all of the Trayvax wallets to date, which I love, there just were not perfect and I always ended up changing them. I went for it and bought The Ridge Wallet the other day on a whim and received it earlier than Amazon stated it would arrive. The wallet is brilliant, its slim, light and well made! Admittedly I am sceptical how the elastic will hold up with my job, but it does hold a lifetime guarantee which is always in the back of my mind, should anything go wrong.I can honestly say all of my dozens of other wallets are in the drawer for now as I haven't yet found any faults with it!The wallet is pricey, but what other wallet comes with the lifetime guarantee? Enough said!BUY IT!

Pricey but solid and functional
Not cheap but then will last a million years. Feels good, feels indestructible, x-rays won't get through this thing, so cards feel protected. Would stave off a charging rhino. Don't have it in your back pocket when going through airport security.

Seriously annoying
You have to remove EVERY card to find the one you want and it clamps together so damn tight, the ONLY way to see what cards you have in there is to take them all out.Sure it will protect your cards, it's tough, but just doesn't function as a "wallet". Its price is just laughable considering how awkward it is to actually use. It really does have a death grip on your cards and doesn't allow any separation of the magnetic strips.

My new baby :)
Probably is a bit expensive for what it is but I do love it to bits. Very compact and lightweight. Very best of minimalist wallet.Top tip, take of one of the plate and sandwich a band in between before screwing it back together (see pic). Now you can attach a keyring to it!

Quality does not come cheap.
This the second Ridge wallet I have bought. The first for myself, this one as a present. So I am obviously very impressed with the quality & functionality.Yes you can get similar, vastly cheaper ‘wallets’ but you can also choose to holiday in Benidorm as opposed to The Maldives.

It's not you, it's me
This is kind of a difficult review to write. I've given 4 stars because the quality is good, the product is exactly as described, and it arrived fast and in good condition. The problem I have is that, although I read the description and the reviews, somehow I was expecting something more than it is. I wanted a slim, compact alternative to my traditional wallet, and that's what I got, but really, it's not much more than stacking up your ID and credit cards and holding them together with an elastic band. It's easier to carry in my pocket than a bulky wallet, but I do find it awkward to dig out a specific card from the middle of the pile. I used it for a few days to try it out but have gone back to my wallet for now. I think I'll keep the Ridge product to use in situations where I only need to carry a small number of cards and some cash.

Very good wallet
I must admit that I was a bit sceptical of the minimalist design of the Ridge wallets. After some research I decided to give it a shot and I was shocked with how good this wallet is and looks. The build is extremely solid and you get what you paid for. I opted for the model with the elastic band instead of the money clip and to my surprise it holds the money really well.I does take time to get used to using a minimalist wallet, but if you are tired of carrying around cards that you haven’t used in ages (yes...we all have those reward cards laying around) this wallet is perfect for you.I’m so pleased with this wallet that I’m considering buying another model!

Great wallet
I wanted to wait a while before writing my review, simply to "live" with the wallet. I can't fault it! Small and compact design, so much so that for the first few days I found myself double checking to make sure it was in my pocket!Despite the lack of weight there is no lack of sturdiness, it feels like it will last and add to the I find it astecticly pleasing. I have the version with the money strap and it holds notes and cards securely.

Really love this wallet, really easy to use, really well built
Really love this wallet, really easy to use, really well built, already had a load of compliments and questions. Yes it is expensive and I would probably recommend getting the aluminium one over the titanium version, unless you want the burnt colour. If you do not want anything on the back, I would get the cash clip which you can remove. If you get the band you will need to order a new elastic from The Ridge from their site.

Great wallet, Bit Pricey
Great build quality, seems durable with the aluminium outter plates. Slim and smart appearence making it great to carry around being no larger than a standard debit card. Cash strap is fiddly to put cash into but overall is very secure and holds the money in place. Price is a bit high but overall a great wallet.
