Form Follows Function: The Art of the Supercar Hardcover – December 12, 2011

I got this for my cousin as a Christmas gift. He opened it last night and he was so excited. He loves cars, especially fast cars. I know nothing about cars. All i know is he couldn't stop smiling, was flipping through all the pages quickly, spewing off all these facts about the cars that he saw in the book. Then he headed straight home to read the book carefully. So i am basing my review on his reaction. He gave me 5 different hugs and kept saying thank you. He's a 30 yr old man!The photos are very nice and artistic. It makes a good coffee table book. It's quite large. According to my cousin, the book included some cars that just came out recently(writing this review 12-25-11).

I love this book. The photography is terrific and the text, while not much, is interesting to read, though I don't think you'd really buy it for the text because it's so gorgeous to look at. I couldn't have asked for a better book on supercars, since it contains many of my favorite supercars which are often ignored, such as the BMW M1, Aston DB4GT Zagato, Maserati MC12 and Bizzarrini Strada. I think the Ariel Atom was unnecessary, perhaps replaced with the Bugatti EB110, Jaguar XKSS or Ferrari F50, but still it's a great book.

This book is marvelous. The writing in this book provides just the right amount of context to explain exactly what this book is all about. The photography is simply amazing. The layout of the book made it is very easy to read and again the photos are just spectacular. The cars shown in the book absolutely belong. I only wish the author would release a sequel or volume 2 as there plenty other vehicles that would be worthy to cover this book's pages.

If you have a passionate for the beauty and design of exotic cars then this is the book for you. The pictures (most of the book is pictures) are exquisite and highly professional, And the writing can be very intellectual (like they're talking about architecture). For anyone truly appreciates beauty and passion behind some of history's most beautiful supercars this is a must have.

This is a gorgeous coffee table book for any car enthusiast. I bought this book for my 9 year old son who is obsessed with luxury cars and he loved it! The book has beautiful large scale pictures on almost every page. There is also plenty of information to learn about each car.

I bought this book last year for my grandson, unfortunately it arrived damaged.I sent it back. He put this book on his Christmas list for this year. I justreceived it today and it's perfect! This will be a very nice gift he will enjoy!Thank you Amazon.

Great photos of some of the best cars of all time

Purchased it for my son who loves sports cars. However, he was underwhelmed.
