I luv 'em
They look great on 2007 "X". That first 2,000 miles feels funny as you break 'em in! After that break in the ride great ...everywhere! Only if you listening for it do you notice any noise. Don't bother me one bit...yet!!!

FANTASTIC Tires
While I do freely admit that I did not purchase the tires from Amazon, they WERE on my 2005 Dodge Durango when I purchased the truck. My Durango is AWD and 4X4 (AWD under normal conditions and can be locked by the turn of a knob on the dashboard into 4X4). At the time of my purchase of the Durango (a few years ago) the tires were the General Grabber AT2 (P265/65R-17) and were pretty much brand-new. I have owned several 4X4s and many, many different brands of tires on all of them. This, however, was my first experience with the General Grabbers and let me tell you that I am NOT KIDDING when I say that this Durango is a BATTLSHIP in the winter!! I live in what is called "The Primary Snow Belt" in Northeastern Ohio. Out of all of the tires I've had on various vehicles these are HANDS DOWN *THE* VERY *BEST* I've ever had for hard-core winter driving. Never, not even ONCE, did I get stuck no matter how much snow there was. As with pretty much any vehicle equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes) when it's icy out you pretty much don't have brakes...at the first detection of a wheel locking up on ice the ABS kicks in and basically says, "NOPE! A wheel has slipped, therefore I am activating and YOU, my dear driver, have NO BRAKES as a result until *I*, your ABS computer, decide that a wheel is no longer locking." I do what many others do up here and that is to "modify" my ABS and we'll leave it at that LOL!! Let's just say that once the DRIVER is back in charge of the brakes (and NOT the computer) they stop very well on icy and snowy roads...I am fully aware that this is a review of the tires but I would be remiss if I didn't add that in snowy and icy conditions you will see it all too often where there is a 4X4 off in a field, upside-down in a ditch, or whatever state of "departure from controlled operation" you may find. No matter how good your 4X4 or AWD car or truck is and no matter how good the tires are (and these General Grabber AT2 are (in MY opinion THE VERY BEST)) you are *NOT* INVINCIBLE because of your AWD/4X4 and tires/brakes. You have *ONE* benefit driving a 4X4 in the winter on icy and snowy roads and that is that you get moving MUCH easier...like from a stop sign or traffic light. You take just as long OR LONGER to STOP because of the extra weight of your vehicle. Cornering is the same in most cases (unless you're a supremely skilled winter rally car driver) as any old rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive car or truck. You STILL *MUST* allow a proper, safe stopping distance between your car/truck and the vehicle in front of you. You STILL *MUST* enter curves at a safe speed to avoid understeer which, due to overcorrection, often leads to oversteer. When driving a 4X4 or AWD in snowy and icy conditions just put yourself in the mind-set that you are in an everyday old one-wheel drive car and drive as you would with that old 1970 VW Beetle or that 1985 Buick. Being in a 4X4 or AWD vehicle does *NOT* equate to being in a 73 ton M1-A3 Abrams main battle tank! THINK and DRIVE *SAFELY* and you will *LOVE* these tires. I SWEAR by them and I am planning on purchasing ANOTHER set for my Durango this year (IF I can find them, they sell QUICK). I made the horrible mistake of putting a set of WalMart Good Year "Trail Mark" tires on my Explorer a couple years back and they were TERRIBLE. I needed new tires, and, because the AWD on the Explorer meant that the tires AND TREAD DEPTH had to be EXACTLY the same or severe damage would result to the transfer case and/or transmission, as well as money being a BIG problem when I had to purchase the tires, I made the HUGE mistake of buying those Good Year "TRIAL Mark" tires and WOW what an experience in the winter. NEVER.AGAIN.PERIOD. I will stand by my General Grabber AT2s for as long as I can find them. They are simply AMAZING in the snow, on ice, in (reasonable) mud, wet roads, and dry roads. As for noise? Can't help you there. My exhaust is SHOT so since I can barely hear the stereo when I'm driving I most certainly can't hear any tire noise!! I would give 10 stars to these tires any day of the week. All you need to do is remember not to drive like a complete IMBECILE just because you're in your 4X4 and you WILL have a very good experience with these tires. Not only are they FUNCTIONALLY excellent (as I've said, I have *NEVER* been stuck in either snow/ice OR in mud) but the aggressive tread pattern really makes your truck look that much better. Don't repeat MY mistake. Those few extra bucks saved by going to WalMart and buying those garbage Good Year "Trial Mark" tires is not worth it in the end when you compare the peace-of-mind you'll have knowing you're driving on General Grabbers in that snow storm. What can I say? They're EASILY the BEST shoes I've ever put on one of my trucks (well, it came with them but I'm buying more, LOL)!! I really hope this helps. And PLEASE don't be one of those 4X4s I pass on I-90 upside-down in the ditch because you thought that because you have four-wheel-drive you can drive 85 mph during a blizzard. Maintain a safe distance ahead, don't overdrive your headlights at night, enter curves at safe speeds and with gentle movements of your steering wheel, and don't attempt passing people by dropping down from overdrive into 2nd gear with the accelerator mashed to the floor. Just drive like you would any normal car and you, too, will find that with your Grabber AT2 equipped SUV/truck you are ALSO driving a true BATTLESHIP like my Durango, LOL!! Be safe and I really hope this helps sway you to get these awesome tires. And, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Best tires I have ever had
Just bought my second set of these for my 2005 Dakota. 55,000 miles on the first set until they hit the wear indicators. They look great, have great grip on pavement, wet or dry, and are very low-noise for AT tires. Off-road performance is excellent in gravel, mud, sand, and snow.As an ASE Certified Master Technician, I have experience with many tires, and these are by far the best All-Terrain tires I have seen.

These tires show very little wear after 50,000 miles. With that being said, I'm going crazy with the amount of noise they make. You have to practically yell at people in your car with you....
