I use these engraved tags on all my backpacks and other gear (as appropriate). The tags slip over 1/2" straps and stays secure. Just enough information to ensure your equipment can be identified and returned to you. We'll made, you won't be disappointed.

I ordered this for my 4-year-old son before he starts school. The product arrived early and is exactly as advertised. The id tag area fits my son's first and last name, year of birth, my first name, my phone number, "Mom", my husband's first name, his phone number, "Dad", and "May not respond to verbal commands." The tag is neat and legible with a matte finish to the metal. The Velcro is very strong, and it fits through the bungee-cord "laces" of my son's Velcro shoes with no problems. It is unobtrusive and lies flat against the top of his shoes. We intend to use it on his shoes whenever possible, or looped through his belt loop on his shorts/pants if the shoes don't allow for it. As a motorcycle rider of long distances safety is paramount. After placing the road id on top of my boot laces and securing it around the laces with the velcro enclosure facing towards the wind to really test the mettle of the product I can report that it neither flapped, fluttered, nor flinched even once while at highway speeds in excess of 80 mph. It measures about 2 eyelets in length on my boot and the reflective strip was not bright enough to distract while at night.Getting back to safety on long distances. As a retired infantryman and part time ems responder being able to have critical information at the ready to assist those who are injured is vital. This road id has enough space to give that critical information if I were to be unconscious and get those that need to be informed all of the critical information both fast and accurately.If you are hesitant about purchasing this item, do not be. This is my first product review on Amazon. I needed an updated shoe tag for running and purchased a roadid for the second time. It wasn't the cheapest option on Amazon but I purchased from roadid instead of another manufacture because I knew the plate and velcro were quality. Roadid also allowed for more characters on each line than the cheaper options I was considering. In fact, the cheaper ones said they allow for 26 characters but when you customized it, only 20 characters were available. Roadid allows for 24 characters. The id came in a very giftable box and arrived in 3 days which I though was lightening fast for something customized. I just signed up for the roadid lifetime guarantee. It would be great if roadid offered more strap color options like some of the other manufactures.
