Instant Reef 3G-DM055 Artificial Coral Inserts Decor, Fake Coral Reef Decorations for Colorful Freshwater Fish Aquariums, Marine and Saltwater Fish Tanks

After deciding to keep my 20 gallon salt water tank a simple and cheap 'fish only' tank, I was seeking a SAFE product to add (fake) reef beauty to it. After much research, I settled on Instant Reef. I bought 2 pieces to put in front of my live rock (rich with bacteria and pods for my Dragonet). My fish took to it, like kids to a new playground, within one hour. Their colors even seemed to brighten up more against it! My fish also had additional hiding places and tunnels created between the live rock and faux reef fixture. Even my husband noticed the new color brilliance of my tank.... and he never notices anything! lolFor the record, I did the recommended 'rinse + 24 hour soak' (in tap water w/Seachem Prime) TWICE just to make sure any loose toxins were gone, then added Seachem Prime to my tank for 2 more days as an added safety measure. Then, after 2 more days, my water tested as it normally does.

The media could not be loaded. It looks nice and the fish seem to like it. A win, win! The material isn’t like you would think. Or at least for me. I thought it would be hard similar to live rock but it’s almost like a flexible, rubbery type of feel to it. The fish didn’t stress out when I added it and they really enjoy it. I’m happy with it!

Bought the first one and it showed up broken in several parts. Sent back and re-ordered the same one only to get a 2nd one broken on every coral piece and faded colors and color missing on the tips. Don’t buy this product.

I ordered two only received one. They are making it right and contacted me. They are shipping it to me. It's really a beautiful reef. I have such a large tank I need a few.

I like the design, but it was broken when I received it. Had to reglue parts back on to it. Seller never responded to my complaint. I was a little disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. The reef arrived very carefully protected and packaged. After the two plus hour recommended water rinse the colors were vibrant. (There were no set-up recommendations with the product, so the internet search provided the needed information.) This was placed in a fresh water aquarium to make it "pop" with color, and it did just that! Now, I realize that coral in a fresh water setting might be considered heresy, but it is my tank and I marvel at what a colorful center piece I now can enjoy.
