I have VERY thin hair on the top and front of my head. I'm a 41 yr old female with female pattern baldness. I have medium brown curly hair. Based on previous reviews I chose light brown. I'm happy I did me because it blended perfectly. To apply I found the spray applicator works best for me. I dry and style my hair and then gently lift sections up and holding the sprayer 3-6" above my hair, give shallow "poofs" to the shaft and 2-3" in length from my scalp. Then I lay the hair back in the desired style and generally mist the hair in the thinnest spots-patting the hair to gently push it into the hair itself. Then light spray with hairspray. I have also not used hair spray and it stayed in place as well. It has never come off on my pillow or my clothes. The only issue I have is getting too close to my scalp- it can become polka dots in my bald spots if not careful. If you have a small bald spot this would be fine, but my hair is so thin I would need a lot of product to cover my scalp. Toppik plumps the hair I have and dusts my scalp in color to minimize my scalp showing. My husband thinks it looks really natural- he didn't know what I had done but kept saying how good my hair looked. He was surprised when I told and showed him the product. He had no idea it was fibers! Part of what really makes my hair look thicker is that this product is great to make your hairline part look thinner and thus making your hair appear fuller. To keep a straight part line, lay a pipe cleaner on top of your part or use a piece of paper to cover the part line and then apply to Toppik over the paper/pipe cleaner. You will be amazed how minimizing your part maximizes the look of your hair! It's a good solution with little effort. Depending in your type of thinning/balding will determine if the product is successful for you. The product does attach to the hair you have and does appear thicker and it does not come off until you wash it. It did exactly what it promised to. Good luck!

After reviewing all the positive reviews, Toppik was purchased and recently received. My first application was before my monthly color with Clairol. I was blonde when younger and my hair since then has turned light brown thus, ordered that hair color. My first application covered and blended very nicely. Mind you, at 72, feeling 42 and I do have a full head of hair, but noticed my crown is getting a bit thin. I was previously using a color stick for gray hair to cover not only my crown, but also my sides. Upon coloring my hair recently, I applied Toppik for only my second application. It is GREAT. I do not need much. Of course, there is a bit that lands in my sink when covering my crown while holding my mirror in one hand while sprinkling Toppik on to my hair with the other hand. The blending is just PERFECT! For better results, sprinkle a bit on, then use some hair spray lightly to hold the first sprinkle, then if needed, add more Toppik then lightly spray again. Toppik is MUCH better than the color stick. I just found a new friend! I will continue to use my color stick, but only on my sides for the gray. I do not see any flaking, and for me, does not leave any residue on my pillow case.

I'm in my early 20's and noticed that my hair in the front is thinning more than it should be. I've been searching for a while for a product that was realistic for me to be able to use everyday that didn't require multiple applications of foam (Rogaine). I sprinkle the product on my scalp after I have styled my hair then gently pat/shake the roots of my hair with my hand to have it blend a bit easier. I absolutely could not think of going a day without it now that I have tried it and it has honestly made me feel so much better about myself now that I'm not constantly worried that people are looking at my very visible scalp.My only little problem is that I ordered the Light Brown (I have light brown hair with sandy highlights) and if I apply a bit too much of the powder it looks noticeably yellowish. My next order I think I'll order just the Brown to hopefully solve the problem.

I am a cosmologist and this is by far my favorite brand of hair fibers. It’s easy to use and comes in a little shake bottle. The fibers come out easily and don’t clump together, plus it comes in a lot of different colors. It helps so much with making hair look thicker and hiding bald/thinning spots.

I have used this product for a while and like many aspects of it. I use the blond and brown and mix them a bit. I would like to only use the blond. However, the blond color has a very strong greenish tint to it even when you don't get out into moist air. Even under completely dry conditions, the greenish coloring is ugly. This problem can be mediated somewhat by using both colors together like I am doing. I hope they fix the issue with the blond soon. Otherwise it is a great product.
