Save yourself thousands of dollars hiring a decorator and dealing with custom drapery hassles. These curtains look so expensive and are so amazing, that if you install a really well-manufactured curtain rod with excellent support in the middle of the rod, you will be able to showcase your windows better than the experts! (An extra support bracket in the middle of the rod will allow you to open and close these heavy drapes with ease and without fear of ripping the rod right out of the wall, over time.) I chose double brackets/rods that extend from the wall several inches. If I were to do it again, I would choose brackets/rods that allow the curtain to close around the rod completely to the wall. (This helps further control light/thermal blocking.) My contractor installed my curtains and rods. I had four curtains 108" long on the top rod, and sheers on the bottom. The weight was definitely significant and required my contractor to also use a middle bracket that he attached a special rig which mounted a guide line (invisible) into the ceiling to help keep the rod from sagging with the weight in the middle of the rod. I chose flax gold and vintage copper and the colors are rich and the fabric is beautiful. If you're on the fence about these curtains, please rest assured that THESE ARE INDEED the drapes that will add true value to your home. I purchased everything on Amazon: the drapes, the curtain rods, the tie-backs, and elegant tie-back posts. Drapes arrived fast and have a few wrinkles when you first take them out of their zippered packaging, and I thought would require hand steaming...but after a few days, the weight of the hems help to minimize wrinkling. A few more days passed and all the wrinkling was gone simply by hanging the curtains and giving it a little time.

The peacock color is lovely and the fabric is thick and textured. Great quality and very reasonably priced. Thrilled with the purchase.

The things I like: Nicely weighted and lined with white blackout fabric. Very consistent lovely sewing. Notice how they are almost exactly the same length at the floor. That is nice. They feel like quality silk drapes.The things I didn't like: They shipped 3 different package and 3 different dye lots. 2 of the packaged were very close in color and were unopened, but 1 package was opened and returned along with black hairs. That drape was a slightly deeper gold dye lot.Because I was separating them as seen in the picture, They were close enough in color to iron and hang. For my needs, these are great. If you are hanging them closer together, check the colors first.

When hung with enough coverage, they provide excellent blackout cover. We live in the city and always have neighbors with yard lights that shine in our bedroom windows all night long. On our last move, I only had enough curtains to mostly cover the windows and the light leakage was disruptive. Finally bought a couple more and am happily sleeping in my cave.

I’ve been looking for curtains for my living room for quite some time. I wanted an elevated look, but didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg to achieve it. These curtains are heavy, durable and have a luxe look. I highly recommend them
