Nest Hello Wall Plate with 30 Degree Left/Right Angled Wedge Mount For Nest Door Bell, Black

Simple and easy and works perfectly.

The angle is perfect to have the wall side the ring is mounted on just show on the edge of the camera. When I installed the camera, I wanted to just move it more to the side for a better angle. This device did it. I used both this device, plus the 15-degree angle which came with the Ring. It turned the camera to the perfect angle. That is, on the one side, just a piece of the wall shows. Any more of an angle would have just the wall on the side. (The mounted side.) Very happy with this device. Even though it is plastic; it feels very sturdy. If you're looking to angle your camera more; this product did it for me. The install was easy too. I needed to drill a small hole into the wall. That is, the spacing of the screws is just a bit wider than the ring itself. After that, there are predrilled holes in the device to remount your camera.

This is a great little product. It gets the job done and if you are using it for the intended nest doorbell I assume install would be very quick and easy. It’s sturdy and looks great, however I did not use the whole wall plate due to the bumps and roughness of the material. I do wish it was a smooth finish.For SIMPLISAFE doorbell users I say get it! For the price and considering this is the only black option on the market for us, it is worth it. However, you will need to use the holes with creativity and may even need to creat new holes to get it to fit properly. I ended up needing 3 1/2 inch wood nails to get it to work but as you can see in the pictures, it does the job. The intended use is that the big holes are meant to be screwed into your wall/house and the small holes are intended for the actual camera but with the Simplisafe cam it only fits when you use one big hole and one small. This is why when using the big whole I needed a much longer screw. Over all good product.

My installation is on a door close to a wall in an inside corner. Without this angle base, half of the video frame is the wall. This angles the camera so the video frame uses the best of the open space. you see both wall and door on either side.

I have a doorbell placed on my door jam and even with the 15 degree wedge provided my nest I could only see a part of my walkway to my door. The only thing visible in the camera was the door itself. I could only see person's when they were standing directly in front of the camera. I could not see any part of my yard or anyone walking up to the door. I used this 30 degree wedge along with the 15 degree wedge that came with my nest and the viewing angle is great. Definitely a must if your doorbell is in a tricky location for a video camera

My doorbell position on my house is 90 degrees off my front door and the walkway to my door. The 15-degree wedge provided with the Nest Doorbell was adequate but not prime. I bought this to get the additional 15-degree slant to get a better view of the walkway. It worked perfectly. The installation was easy. However, the screw holes on the plate and wedge that attach it to the wall do not line up with the screw holes on the Nest mounting plate. I was fortunate to have a matching set of holes already in the wall from a previous Ring doorbell, so I didn't have to drill an additional hole. The Nest plate then screws into separate holes on the wedge. Overall, a perfect fit and an easy installation.

I'm not sure what's up with the plastic on this item but it felt sturdy but when I was installing the baseplate it cracked right down the middle and I ended up just throwing it away.

My doorbell is located on the wall 90 degrees from the front door. Even with the 15 degree wedge included with the Nest, roughly 20 % of the camera’s field of vision was pointed inside my house (see photo #1), which meant I was getting events/alerts anytime someone walked in the garage door, came down the stairs, etc. Some days I’d get 100+ event notifications.After installing this product, the viewing angle is not perfect, but it is much better than it was before (see photo #2). Most importantly, the camera is no longer pointing inside the house, and I haven’t gotten any false alerts since installing this product.Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend this wedge for anyone with a doorbell located in a similar spot.
