I am so glad I bought this
I bought this because I got back into riding my bike so I can get in better shape. I always had a hard time staying properly hydrated on hikes, walks or bike rides because I hate carrying a water bottle around and water bottles never felt like enough water on longer rides or hikes. I decided to try this backpack because their other one, which is the same just not insulated, got great reviews but I wanted an insulated backpack to keep the water cool. Everything came packaged well, it had instructions on how to take care of the water bladder. I did have to look at the pics on the amazon page to see how they strapped the bladder inside the backpack but that was no big deal. This is the first time I have ever had a Hydration Pack so I had no clue what was going on at first. The material feels better quality then the backpacks I had for school back in the day and it fits really comfortable and well. Even with a full water bladder, my phone and ID stuff I couldn't even tell it was on my back. I am glad I had it today, we went on about a 15 mile bike ride and the water was cool and I had plenty to last the whole day with no leaks. There was a slight taste of plastic/rubber but nothing that bothered me. I followed the lemon juice instructions the night before. So far I love this backpack and will be using it a lot. We will see how long it lasts but I am glad I bought it. It has helped me stayed hydrated all day.

Great price and quality.
This has it all. And has a large water capacity all kinds of storage. It is made of good quality material. Overall, I love everything about this one and would recommend it to anyone.

Great for hiking!
Well above expectations. I needed something for a one day hike. Didn't have a huge budget, and this fitted my budget. Figured for this price it would only be good for one or two trips.Boy was I surprised! This thing is amazing. The most important part is the water bladder and drinking nozzle. Everything about it is amazing, it's well made, high quality, the insulation around the hose is fantastic, and the detachable and cleanable nozzle is very well designed. Easy to clean, and the closeable valve and cover were very nice touches. The pack itself? Well designed, sturdy, and comfortable. Distributes the weight well, with ambidextrous mounting points for the drinking hose. Lots of built in and convenient to use storage allows for easy organization and easy access to various items you may need. And the molle connectors, beautiful added touch. Since I had 2 kids with me I decided I needed to carry more stuff then the bag could carry on its own (extra water, and first aid kit) so I bought some extra molle bags that mounted on the back, and I didn't even notice the extra weight.Granted i haven't had it long but everything seems to be made well, extremely sturdy, and well designed. Doesn't feel cheap at all. Even the plastic piece they use to mount the hose to the shoulder strap feels solidly made. Definitely worth the money.

It's a good bladder, but could use some improvements
The bladder itself is fine - haven't had any problems over the last year - through several rough uses. I use this all the time, so my complaints are from lots of uses. I still choose to use this instead of buying another one, so none of these things are deal-breakers, they are just annoyances. The push-fittings to attach the hose work well and haven't leaked. The opening is large and seals well. But, when you hold the bladder to try and add water, it always collapses, which then spills the water everywhere. When held by the opening flange, the bag should fall OPEN-mouthed. It really takes 2 hands to hold the mouth open - and then another hand to fill it (pour from a jug, turn on the faucet, etc.)The bite-valve is 3-layered - which makes this a pain to use while riding. There is a lever to open/close the waterline. If the valve is left open, then the water leaks out. If you close the valve, it almost takes two hands to open it. You can do it with one - but I find the lever is always in the wrong direction and I need to fumble with it. Then, the mouthpiece has a 45° rigid bend to it that swivels around. This is ok in the open - but when wearing a helmet (BMX, Motocross, motorcycling), it's hard to get the mouthpiece to fit, and when you get it in, it swivels flat against your face. This would be better as a formed, but soft hose. The bite valve has a snap-fit cover to keep it clean. That's hard to pull off with your teeth, and nearly impossible to put back on one-handed. It is also relatively rigid, so leaving it banging around is painful. Already said the bite-valve leaks. Now onto the bag: The bag is too long for the bladder - and the opening in the bag was OBVIOUSLY made for a different bladder. The bag takes up a LOT of volume, but the pockets don't have a lot of space in them. Something is just not right. It LOOKS great, but isn't very functional.I will say that the straps (positioning and length) is perfect. There's plenty of strap length to be used over top of an armored jacket.
