Easy to set, great cooking speed (My views below)
So first, I've bought & gave away several air fryers, and used them a lot. They crisp better than a convection oven, due to their high velocity air. I had a bigger version, like a mini-oven, and wasn't as good at crisping for me, mainly due to lower watts per cubic inch, and lower, air velocity, compared to "traditional" air fryers. I've had three digital models of air fryers, and although they work well, you'll almost always tweak the default settings, depending on how big the "things" are, how many, and their temperature when going into the air fryer. I found I was pressing more icons for the same settings, than just the two knobs for time/temp. The Secura (and Phillips to name a couple) both have a simple time/temp setting, and I copied a "cheat sheet" printed from one of the numerous sites that helps me set it close to the "perfect" settings. Then if I do the exact same recipe (and weight), then it can be set the same, or handwrite the setting I liked best for a particular meal. For me, just setting two dials is faster. Size: Unless you live in a trailer or tiny-home, a few square inches of space difference between the large model and the little ones, shouldn't be a decision-driver. These machines are light, so you can store it if you need to. I have mine on a steel shelving unit, and that setup is great for me, since the basket slides from the front, not top. Remember, you can always make small batches in a big air fryer but if you crowd items in a small one, they'll not cook as fast, or as well. Also, get the highest wattage, especially for the large models. Typically, higher watts means faster crisping time, and less drying out. Finally, get a model that goes at least to 400F; higher temps usually means better crisping and caramellization. Maillard browning reactions need higher temperatures to brown quickly, especially if you're not using sugars in your creations. This Secura is large enough for most people, and cooks FAST. It's fantastic at making fries, chicken wings, crisping up glazed ham slices, etc. I honestly don't use it to bake cakes, as I have other ovens for that. But reheating bread rolls, breadsticks, etc, fantastic, and is great at making very crisp, delicious small pizzas (try using canned crescent roll dough for the crust, to make a great "homemade" pizza!). The Secura is 1800 Watts at full power and does hit 400F, as measured with my thermocouple temperature device, and Kill-a-Watt watt power meter. I like the release button to toss stuff during it's bake, and has a divider for simultaneously baking two different things. I wish it did come with a little wire stand for baking steaks, etc but the perforated intenal basket seems to work well. Cleaning is very easy, even for the baked on stuff. The run-noise is a "medium" compared to other units I've had. The high velocity air is hard to muffle, so if it bugs you, run it in the garage....it's no issue for me, so that's something to consider. In summary, the Secura, is a great machine so far, well priced, plenty of power, easy to clean, and in general, air fryers are a valuable part of my kitchen, and I think you'd be happy with one.

Great air fryer
This is a great air fryer. The large capacity basket hold a good amount of food and cooks great. When keeping the food stirred from time to time it browns really well and comes out juicy and looking great . I have had mine going on a year now and is my go to for cooking with out having to have a lot of clean up later. The unit starts off slow and build up in speed that I am sure is it’s design. Love mine and have had no problems with it. I would buy it again in the future.

Makes "fried foods" healthy
It is big, and takes up quite a bit of space (imagine R2D2 without wheels) but it does the job. We use it to cook most things that are usually fried, and feel better about the fact we are not using grease/oil. It is also great at heating up uneaten onion rings, etc. that we bring home from the restaurant. In fact they usually taste better than they did in the restaurant! It is simple to use and not an appliance to be "scared" of...just stick the food in the tray (no layering), put the temperature knob at around 400 degrees, turn the minute dial to past 10 minutes, and let it go! (Warming it up @ 3 minutes before you put the food in is a good idea). Check it every few minutes to turn the food, and take the food out when it looks good to you. Simple, easy, tasty!

This Fryer Makes Fried Foods Without Oil or Butter
I received this product a few days earlier than the original estimate. It was in great condition and was in 3 boxes and was superbly protected. I didn't use it right away, because I wasn't sure I was going to keep it because it's so big. However, yesterday I decided to wash out the basket and the pan and give it a try. I dried both thoroughly per the instructions, then I preheated it for 15 minutes. I fried 1/2 bag of onion rings and they came out better than any others I've ever had -- even done in an oven with a bit of oil. These were crispy and delicious! Then later, I tried some Tater Tots and I was totally blown away. NEVER had such wonderful tater tots -- EVER! They were totally deep golden brown and very crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. If you have a family that likes fried foods but you don't like deep-frying or using oils or butter, you NEED THIS FRYER! It's large enough to make a meal for 3-4 people. Also, if you want to use the unit again, remove the pan and basket and let them cool thoroughly and wipe them out with a paper towel. Preheat the unit again, and use the fryer. On the plus side, you can wash the basket and pan in the dishwasher. I may want to wash by hand so I have it ready when I want to use it. I don't fill up my dishwasher every day, so handwashing would keep my fryer ready for use.I gave four stars to the features because I found a couple very small pieces of black plastic on the floor. One after unpacking and one after using it for the second time. Both are very small and I've been unable to find where they came from. Haven't had it long enough to really know the durability or versatility. However, I believe it will be very versatile and I'll use it for a variety of foods.

Fast and easy food for busy people.
Very happy with this product. Easy enough the whole family has tried it. Rather large for counter. Cleans nicely with a damp cloth. Dropping 1 star only because it was shipped FedEx and was delivered to the wrong house a few blocks away. The nice guy brought it over to me in negative temps. Luckily it was packed good so it wasn’t frozen solid.

Good company to work with
The company backs up their product. The timer knob cracked after a year's use and Diane at customer service was very helpful, and a new one is on the way to me. Also, the airfryer itself has delivered everything it was supposed to do. Very good product.

Not the best one out there
It took a few times to get this right. At the beginning the food tasted like Teflon. It’s OK now but I am surprised at how much oil is required for it to taste fried. I thought an air fryer meant very little oil.

This fryer takes considerably longer to cook than a 3.5 fryer
It takes so much longer to cook than our previous 3.5Q air fryer. It also does not cook evenly. I do like that you can split the basket.Had to trash it as it kept blowing a fuse.
