Q: Are the colors as vivid in person as they are online?

Not really but they ok. The kids didnt notice

Q: do the lights, piano, tiolet, etc make noise or light up?

No. It's all wood. The colors are vibrant & beautiful.

Q: I am considering this dollhouse bc my daughter keeps coming back to it, not my first choice...can anyone tell me if their daughters love it and why?

Just purchased for xmas, my 3 year old loves it. The elevator was a little sticky at 1st, but I sprayed the sides w/ olive oil & we are smooth sailing now! It's also a good choice because it does have stairs as well, so you have the best of both worlds. The colors are vibrant, but it's not as "loud" as pictured (if that make sense), so i don't find it to look tacky. Went together in just 2 hrs mostly by myself (just needed someone to hold parts level a couple times). Barbie fits great in the house (yes her feet hang off the bed slightly, but its really not a big deal). Also, unlike many doll house, it has two beds, which I think kids like to cram as many dolls in as possible so that is a bonus. I paid about $120 & thought it was a great deal for the quality & size of the house. The furniture is very cute & sturdy, and the pictures on the walls are very cute. Good luck!
