This product saved my internet!
I bought this product on the recommendation of my local computer shop as I was having massive problems with my Virgin Media Broadband and nothing on the support forums seemed to work. I set my broadband router into modem mode (or whatever its called when the wireless bit is switched off) and connected this and changed a few setting (sorry, I can't remember which ones). My broadband went from a stuttering unreliable 3Mbs to the 30Mbs that I had been promised. It is so nice, not having the BBC iPlayer pause every second for about a second while it downloaded another section of programme.I would recommend this product to anyone having wireless network problems

great
upgraded from single to this dual band router because of previous drop-out from using simultaneous 3-4 devices on my home broadband.noticed a big improvement, no drop-out at all.net seems to connect faster too.well pleased.

Works well - looks hideous.
I've had this router a while now and I really like the concept behind it; it's proved to be very beneficial for my particular set-up.The dual band arrangement means I have now been able to separate my CCTV WiFi feed which was stamping all over my iPad's WiFi signal. This router has solved that little problem.I think it would be just as useful in a household that do a lot of streaming or online gaming, and with a USB 2.0 port capable of sharing flash storage, printers, FTP servers and media players, it's perfect for users with an extensive home network.Set up was very simple and using the auto-set up mode it was as fast to achieve as the connection the router provides. There are some cool additional features too, such as a switch to turn the wireless function on/off.If I have one complaint (which I do) it's that the unit suffers from the same problem as every other TP Link router I've owned: Ulgy-itus. It's blocky appearance is very dated an not very attractive and and the dual antennas are far from easy on the eye, but they do at least provide a good range for the WiFi signal and a strong connection. It's a good item that works well and it's solved some connection issues I was having, but it is still only going to get 4 stars. I've knocked off a star for its brutish looks and until TP Link have a word with their design team I don't think they'd ever be my first choice if I was buying a new router with my own cash. But that's just me.

Not very good
Only managed to get 80Mbps from a direct connection to this device even though I have a 120Mbps cable.I get 120Mbps without the router.I'm not impressed.

Very quick to set-up & strong signal
This literally took me less than 10-minutes to set-up, and that's without having to use the instillation CD (Please note I was using a PC with Windows 7 which I connect via wireless to the internet, not cable).Step 1: Take router out of box and screw the antennas to the back of the router.Step 2: Connect your modem to the TP-LINK router via the Ethernet cable provided.Step 3: Power up the router by plugging in the power cable and pressing the "On/Off" button located on the back of the router.Step 4-1: Look at the bottom of the router and take note of the "Wireless password/pin" if your connecting via wireless.Step 4-2: If your connecting by cable, connect an Ethernet Network Cable from the routers Ethernet port located at the back to your computers network port (extra cable not provided).Step 5: Go to 'Start' - 'Control Panel' - 'Network & Internet' - 'Connect to a network', or at the bottom-right of your computer, you should have a network icon which you can click on.Step 6: Search for the TP-LINK network name, click 'connect', if your connecting via wireless, type in the PIN code. And that's all it, it really it simple and very easy to get everything set-up.On a further note, you may want to go through the router settings, I did this by opening a browser and typing in '192.168.0.1', the user name will be "admin" and same for the password, from here you can go through the quick set-up which will allow you to change the routers name as well as it's password (if you wish to do so).The interface is very neat and the tabs are very clear; you can access the following within this interface: Status | Quick Setup | Network | Dual Band Selection | Wireless 2.4GHz | Wireless 5GHz | DHCP | USB Settings | NAT | Forwarding | Security | Parental Control | Access Control | Advanced Routing | Bandwidth Control | IP & MAC Binding | Dynamic DNS | System Tools. When it comes to connectivity, the signal produced from the router is very strong. The only issue I have with this product is due to the fact my default orange bright-box wireless modem/router is actually faster at transferring speeds:Orange bright-box: 54ms ping | 5.51Mbps download | 0.71Mbps upload.TP-Link Router: 57ms ping | 4.95Mbps download | 0.70Mbps upload.Apart from that, the router is a very good product.*NOTE: If you want to get the most out of this router you may want to get a dual band wireless adapter such as this: TP Link TL-WDN3200 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter.*

TP Link
Well,If I had known there was a stronger TP link router I would have gone for it. This one works okay, but there are times when it is slower than it should be.Also, it goes by default to the slower 2.4GHz as staying on the 5GHz if you set it there. Also, it NEVER remembers the password to the 5GHz link so I have had to memorize it.I know, these are first world problems.Overall it performs as advertised, it just could be better.

IT'S NOT GIGABIT
CAUTIONThis product has only 10/100Mb ethernet. It is not a Gigabit router as the name suggests. Don't get caught out like I was.

Loaded with features but poor coverage
Signal strength drops significantly behind thin walls. However it is loaded with features and I was surprised it supports DLNA.
