GHIRARDELLI Intense Dark Chocolate Bar, 92% Cacao, 3.17 Oz Bar

72% dark chocolate, taste is fine

I have been getting this product for years. It tastes great. I get rich chocolate flavor with very little sugar, and at a good value.But last time, when I opened the box, all the chocolate was discolored and had probably been exposed to high heat somewhere along the way. Unfortunately, I was 2 days past the return date, so I am out $40 and have no edible chocolate! I will buy again, but I will open the box and check the packages before refund period ends!

This is a great candy bar. The raspberry is tangy and sweet with the slightly biter dark chocolate and it has a little crunchy to it as well. In the photo you can see one chocolate square that has a jelly center. That square is from the individually wrapped squares of raspberry chocolates. The bar, doesn’t have that jelly, unfortunately. The flavors between the 2 are super similar, minus the crunch of the bar and the jelly in the square. Try not to eat the whole bar.

In moderation, this is keto-friendly. I am doing keto and when I am doing it right, I cut out chocolate. However, sometimes you just want to eat some chocolate and very dark chocolate is actually healthy. So, the days where I allow myself to go over 20 net carbs by a bit, this is in rotation. Just one to two squares max. At 92%, it is a healthy option and real dark chcolate w/o artificial anything has some nutritional benefit. Yes, it is a bit bitter because it's 92% but it still tastes good with just a modicum of regular sugar and I LOVE that there is zero artificial stuff like stevia (yes, stevia is a horrific man-made lab monstrosity that is marketed as the lie of the century as being natural and not dangerous for you). Look, very dark chocolate minimum 70% and higher without artificial sweeteners or tons of sugar is good for you -the darker the better / the less sugar and carbs the better. Not everyone can handle 92% (and some leaving ridiculous reviews complaining that this tastes bitter -oh, yeah -what'd you buy 92% for thinking it's taste like a Hershey bar... absurd). Anyway, for those educated on health and trying to eat well... this is a good option that is even better than 70%.

This is some of the best tasting dark chocolate I have tried. I was looking for dark chocolate low in cadmium and lead, and this was on the list, so I ordered it. I like the fact that each square is separately wrapped, which help me to keep from eating more than one square at a time, which I could easily do. I keep it in the freezer which seems to keep it really fresh.Highly recommend.

This is billed as dark chocolate which I gladly bought as I am allergic to dairy products and this was not "milk chocolate" and so I thought safe as I've been eating various dark chocolate for years. I started having my allergic reactions after a while mystified as to what was causing it. Finally I read the ingredients of this chocolate. VERY UNHEALTHY: the 3rd ingredient is SUGAR and the 4th ingredient is MILK FAT! Buyer beware! How to really raise your blood sugar and get fat without even trying!

I order this when the price goes back down. The price swings all over the place, sometimes doubling in a week. When I see it back low it is a good value. It's an acquired taste (like bourbon), but I like it to snack on with milk.
