Smithsonian Science Activities, Newtons Cradle,96 months to 216 months Gray

I love that it mesmerized my four grandchildren ages 4-11. They took turns with it throughout the day. It was easy to set up, no tangles. When the 4 year old did cause a tangle it was easy to untangle. Great gift for all ages.

This was purchased as a gift for my 11 year old’s birthday. The strings were tangled upon taking it from the box for the initial setup. We were able to untangle them with a little work, but it did take some of the fun out of it straight away. All in all, it’s functioning well and is as described.

I got this as a present and for the cost it felt cheap. The strings feel like fishing line and the balls are pretty dense. All of them move because the cheap stings absorb the shock. I wanted to return bit couldn't find a nicer one.

I got this to give as a gift, unfortunately one of the strings wasn’t attached. We thought we could either return it or fix it ourselves. We didn’t want to go through all the hassle of returning and talking so we just tried to fix it. We just glued the string back and worked just fine.

This item is very poorly constructed which resulted in it not functioning properly. The balls and string are misaligned. This causes them not to swing squarely. Additionally the is a natural gap between two of the balls who he’s. Aides excessive swinging of all of the balls. Overall I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this cradle. I would not recommend buying this product!P.S. I attempted to get pictures of the defects but was unable to get a clear picture due to the reflective nature of the chrome finish. It prevented me from being able to focus on the specific parts.

My son who has autism loves this! He does get it tangled sometimes but it’s pretty easy to fix. This is our second one because he cut the strings on the last one trying to untangle it himself.

It is exactly as described. The packaging protected the cradle perfectly and yet was easy to remove without risking damage. Delivery was as promised. Anyone looking for a great looking Newtons Cradle should buy this.

Bought this for my grandson to enjoy when he visits. He usually has at least one question & then we look for an answer. So he winds up learning something new while having fun.
