All things considered an absolute winner amp.
Great little amp. I'm into clean sound and play many balads like Summer Wine, City Of New Orleans etc you youngsters may not know about and stuff like Jimmy Pages lead riff in Whole Lotta Love. I have some minor single coil hum but less than in my Mustang amp. You won't go wrong with this one. Of course I don't know everything but have been plank spank'n and amping since 1958 with a 54 Strat. Enjoy.

Very cheap
The clean sound is good. Not great but it is hard to mess up clean tone. Now if you want to play with distortion or overdrive (I have no clue what it is) your out of luck. It's so bad, if your buying this for your 10 year old then it's good but otherwise $300 can get you a pretty darn good amp

Excellent amp at any price
You can really get good tone out of this amp in both channels. It's actually hard to get bad sound from this thing. The mid shift feature isn't gimmicky like many are, it's actually very useful and helps the amp cover a lot of ground tonally. You can dial up pretty much any sound you're looking for from sparkling clean all the way to metal. This doesn't sound at all like the cheap $50.00 amp that it is. Now this isn't going to rival a good tube amp, but for a little solid state practice amp it's stellar. It will get loud enough to make your neighbors hate you if you're an apartment dweller, but you can turn it down as low you want without losing any tone since there are no tubes, just what you need in a practice amp. If you play live with a band you should probably get this amps bigger brother so you don't get drowned out by the drummer and everyone else though. The only negative to mine is it hums pretty loudly when idle even at low volumes, especially in the lead channel. My G&L with p-90's seems to be worst offender, but your mileage may vary.

Nice Buy
Bought this amp at guitar center for $50. It's a nice starter amp. The clean channel is clean just like it supposed to be and can be easily distorted which I have no problem with. The distortion channel is just satisfying. I play metal and rock which sound nicely through this amp. You're able get some pretty neat tones from this amp and come close to Metallica, The Killers, ACDC, Pantera, Mötley Crüe and pretty much everything in between. This amp is a really neat starter.p.s. This amp can get pretty loud. How loud? Window-rattling loud. The mp3 plug in also works really well.

The clean channel is great, and the lead channel sounds as good as ...
I got this amp as I needed something lighter than my other 40 lb Fender amp. For the price it was a steal, and it very loud for playing at home. The clean channel is great, and the lead channel sounds as good as amps five times the price. I used to own a Roland cube which I loved, but this thing is just as good for a fraction of the cost. Buy one before they go up in price.
