Replacement parts makes Syma s107 a good investment
This little RC toy is probably the most fun little thing i know that would make grown ups cheer like little kids(to clarify, I think it's a good thing).Except for the fun factor, The fact you can easily find replacement parts for it just make it a better investments because it tends to get quite a bit of beating and every now and then a part would not survive it.While installing it I noticed this balance bar had a problem, The holes used to connect it to the main shaft are too tight and I had to use a micro screwdriver to make the holes just big enough by a fraction so that the bar would sit loosely in it's place, If it's too tight it will not move freely and would have an adverse effect over the control of the S107.

I little unbalanced with weights out.
I got this to mod my S107g. This balance bar has removable weights.I read that a lighter balance bar would allow for more responsive vertical changes, as the main rotor could change speeds faster with less weight to spin up and down. With the weights out, it was a little unbalanced though. I used a title bit of tissue paper to balance it out. This worked as described and actually gave more responsive forward/backward changes as well, but with some side effects. Because the bar is lighter, it acts less as an gyroscope and corrects it's horizontal leveling faster than before. This causes the helicopter to "swing" back, slightly, the way it came after stops and limits the total distance of forward movement to about 10 feet before it "swings" back. Even if you still have forward on full. This got old quick and I put the weights back in.Still works as an excellent balance bar with optional weight changes.

What is the length of the balancer bar?

It takes a strong bar to fly like I do
It takes a strong bar to fly like I do. So when it breaks it is important to have backups.
