Very Happy I Purchased This
I had plans to be in Jamaica for a month and researched various ways to have reliable internet connection without spending a small fortune. I settled on this product and am very glad I did for several reasons.1. Most importantly, it worked as advertised. Where ever there was 3G service on the island, we had internet service through the G4 Pro. My daughter had to finish up an on line course the first week of our vacation and she was able to have reliable internet service to connect her laptop to. We were able to connect all eight of our devices to the hot spot through out our vacation.2. It is surprisingly thin and light. I expected it to be more bulky than it is, but it is no larger than some of the popular smart phones out right now. It is probably smaller and lighter than the biggest of the new phones.3. The touch screen is convenient and makes operation easy.4. The Google maps app is built in. I used this much more than I thought I would and I didn’t have to use phone data. And yes, Google maps mostly worked even in Jamaica, although on some of the less traveled roads it was iffy. I wouldn’t rely on Google maps in rural areas of a foreign country unless you have some prior knowledge of the area (I did). Otherwise, you might find yourself in an area that tourists should avoid.5. You can buy a local data plan and SIM card, which is much less expensive.6. You can buy more data from the hotspot touch screen, or from the app you download on your smart phone.7. Customer service is pretty amazing. Four months after I bought it and after my trip was over, it occurred to me I hadn’t received the 8GB of U.S. data, so I reached out to the company via the app and they immediately sent the data to my unit. I was impressed with the responsiveness. The only criticism I can make is that the battery life, while not terrible given hotspot and GPS use is a big power drain, is not strong enough for the hotspot to be used as a power bank for other devices. I think if you use the G4 Pro as a hotspot while trying to charge another device, it would not last long enough to do both. But the power bank feature was not a major reason for me to purchase the G4 Pro and I brought an actual more powerful power bank (much larger in size than the G4 Pro) with me. So no points off for this.

Skeptical at first
I have to admit, I was really worried taking the plunge and buying this device based on some of the bad reviews it had out there. Obviously, more glowing and positive ones, but you still don't want to be that person with the "bad" device. Regardless, I have to say I have no serious complaints whatsoever! I took this to Germany, France and Spain...had zero issues. Even working along well here state side...zero issues. I 'm very happy and impressed with the money spent.I did notice that there are some people who are confused with the "unlimited data" and yes I can totally understand why this would be confusing; that is on part of the company not specifically laying out how it works, but in short, a day pass for unlimited data is not dependent on the time you activate the data (which honestly, that's how it should work if you want to keep people happy) but it is instead based on China's time zoning really, so it's best to try and sync up when their day begins from the 24:00 clock turnover and start your unlimited service then, but it is probably best just to do the Pay-As-You-Go.Speaking on data, what I found useful is, is that they do not lock you into using their data or plans, but it is great to have two options so that you can compare local SIM plans when you arrive in that country and make a educated decision to use their service or pick up a card from a local seller. Think of using their data as a backup option in a pinch should you need it; its a great safety feature to have because it just works pretty much where ever you are.Overall,Usability 10/10Battery 10/10 (given it's size)functionality 10/10Speed consistency 9/10Instructions 7/10Tech Support 10/10 (subjective, but my agent was very kind and helped me with activation for my 8Gb)
