An Excellent Grinder But......
This grinder is perfect unless you want to make espresso coffee, which it cannot do adequately. That is not a criticism of the grinder, just a fact that at it's price point grinders won't do every type of grind. However, this grinder is superb for cafetiere (French Press), coffee drip machines and pour over filter coffee. It is very well designed and unlike some grinders, even more expensive ones, does not spray coffee all over the place as it has a good fitting receptacle to catch the grounds. It is simple and accurate to use. The only slight drawback is that it's a bit noisy. I understand that Baratza provide good technical support and this machine is easy to change burrs, etc, because of it's design. I previously had a Mignon Specialita grinder that gave up the ghost after a year and two months of one grind per day and much prefer the Baratza.

STATIC SOLUTION
Put beans in a cup/mug and spray with water. I tried a little bit of water (dipping a tea spoon in water), but it wasn't enough. I spray then stir the beans in the cup/mug, then pour in to the plastic hopper at the top of the grinder. Depending on size of cup/mug, you may need to do this 2 or 3 times.Turn on grinder. I tilt from side to side, to ensure ground coffee doesn't go above white line.I then leave for at least 1 whole minute, to ensure and remaining static goes. You should then have no static.

Superb value for money
The standard entry level grinder - good grind quality without too many fines and easy to adjust the grind size, you need to pay double or triple the price to get to the next level. The white version is unobtrusive in a kitchen. It’s robust and heavier than you’d think for its size. It’s a cone burr grinder so slower than a flat plate grinder but perfect for grinding coffee as you need it - flat plate grinders at this price point have utterly terrible grind quality.

Does the job
Really solid bit of kit

NOT for Espressos
Don't believe what they say on the description. This does not grind fine enough for espressos. Period.I even hacked the machine apart and changed the configuration to make it even finer and that's still not good enough.Face it - you cannot grind for espresso reliably unless you spend £400+

Looks good and grinds are fab
It was a bit tricky getting the rubber gasket around the metal of the funnel, but once we managed to get that on and stay on we are very pleased. A lot dearer than the other but it feels like a proper piece of kit and the coffee grinds are fab
