292. Sade supreme
For decades I wished for a Sade box, despite her obvious disinterest to reissue or repackage her back catalogue. Call it laziness or artistic integrity, but those 6 records surely needed some extra care. Bless the resurgence of vinyl of late, and amongst this year's numerous - many of which unnecessary - rereleases, this package arrives to correct things. A chance to see brand new copies of a Sade album on fresh wax seemed minimal, but no more. The bulk of her discography is right here on this luxe repackaging in all its glory: from the smooth jazz roots of "Diamond life" and "Promise", to the lush and more modern, sensuous sound of "Love deluxe" and "Soldier of love".All 6 studio albums are transferred to heavyweight vinyl, polished and lovingly pressed. Fittingly, the simplicity of the design adds to the beauty of the music. The artwork reproductions are perfect (half of these are printed on glossy paper sleeves), the sound is superb (half-speed mastering does make a difference, fellow audiophiles!) with just some minor crackles; there is even a foam rubber square tucked alongside the 6 records to indicate that the - rumoured to be in the works as we speak - 7th studio album is near. Shut away from this crazy world, and immerse in the voluptuousness of Sade's voice enveloping ears and senses. Queen of chill, queen of elegance 👑

Had this on my wish list for 2 years.
Then one day before Christmas it was on for just £20!!! Usually it's between £140 and £180 so I'm guessing someone made a pricing error. Anyway I bought it for £20 and it came! Great to have all her albums in one box set.

Sade’s best in one box
Finally..Sade’s all six studio albums. Been wanting this box set since the day I saw the promo video. Already had all the CDs and the first three LPs but to get my hand on all six of them was surreal. The record quality on all LPs are superb, but somehow some of the reprint covers are not as good as the original press I had. But all in all it’s still a good bargain and worth the purchase, since some albums are no longer available nowadays. Thanks!

The best way to own all of Sade’s Album on Vinyl
I only ever had the fist two Sade Albums, which I really liked, but discovered the rest of their work through Amazon Music, in fell in love with all of their albums. So when this was released just had to have. The box set is superb, my only criticism is the Diamond life album does a a small Pressing defect, I have the original, so not to bothered. All the other albums are extremely well pressed. They were masters at half speed, for me I think it really doesn’t improve the sound quality, it does change it, and I think robs it of some dynamics, never the less these album do sound really good.

Great Package Super Sound and LP Sleeve Reproduction
The music really has stood the test of time in this beautiful set - the restrained approach of Sade and a consistent band over 25 years serving well. Stuart Matthewman’s tenor sax wailings largely disappearing after the first two albums as he switches to guitar in response to the times it seems !The vinyl is flat , warm sounding , with only the occasional pop and click ( the law of averages - inevitable across six albums )Perhaps buy some lined inner sleeves for the first two albums to replace the paper ones provided - the others have the original printed sleeves

Pressings could be much better but replacement copy is much improved.
The music is just sheer class. Unfortunately the vinyl pressings are not. The first disc, Diamond Life is perfect. Second disc Promise on the first 20 seconds of each side has knocking and scuff noises thereafter it is OK. Third disc Stronger Than Pride is very crackly throughout both sides. Haven’t got round to playing the other records but have already made up my mind to have my copy replaced. This is an expensive box set and there should be more quality control at the pressing plant, The inner sleeves for the first two records are plain paper which causes static so much so that after playing the felt mat on my turntable lifted up with them when they were removed. The other four records have thin printed cardboard sleeves with no anti static liners resulting in the same problem. Fortunately I have a supply of anti static sleeves which I will use with the replacement copy which I sincerely hope will be much betterUpdate.Replacement received and is better. The second record Promise still has the knocking and scuffing noise at the beginning of both sides but this time the label on side two is all bubbly and obviously has not been affixed properly.I can live with the slight faults at the beginning. My main gripe was the cracking throughout Stronger Than Pride which really was quite intrusive . The replacement is noise free and perfect. None of the remaining three records have any faults so overall I am quite pleased and have upgraded my score to 4 stars. As already mentioned the music is generally sheer class although there are one or two weaker songs. Sade is in the process of recording a new album ( at last ) and I will be one of the first to buy it on vinyl when released. This Boxset is recommended but do get some anti static inner sleeves.

Stunning
Stunning stunning stunning. Pressings are excellent, yes there are a few crackles but that's the beautiful sound of vinyl. If you are a Sade fan this is a must have.
