Very nice coat, especially for the price. I'm 6 ft. / 195lbs. and the large fits perfectly. The quality is really nice too, more than what I was expecting in this price point. I'm playing keyboard at a show where my back will be to audience, the dramatic tails give me the effect I was looking for! The medium-light weight fabric will be nice under the stage lights - I won't get too hot.

The tailcoat is surprisingly well made, and looks fantastic. The buttons on the vest portion are attached a little flimsily, but that’s my only complaint. For reference, I’m 5’9, 140lbs, and bought a small. Fits perfect in the shoulders, and is a little roomy in the waist, but I love the length and cut. The arms are also a little long, but they look good cuffed up, so it’s a non- issue. Great value for the money.

This coat looks great and feels much nicer than something you'd get at a costume store for a similar price. The buttons seem sewn on a little loosely and I fully expect to have to fix a couple of those, but that's not a big deal. The main problem is that the sizing is definitely weird. I first ordered an XL based on a review from someone who said they were about my size and it is almost comically oversized through the shoulders and chest. I look like a kid wearing his dad's coat. So before returning it, I ordered a L to compare. That one is extremely form-fitting and not really comfortable to get into or move around in. It looks like the difference between the two sizes is double what the chart says, if not more, and that there really should be a size in between them. If I needed to layer underneath the L I definitely could not do it, but in the XL I could put a couple layers and still have it be too big. In the end, I'm keeping the L and sacrificing comfort because the silhouette actually has a shape to it, like the product photo, whereas the XL just hangs loosely and looks more like a costume and cheaper as a result.

Bought this and the white pirate ruffle shirt for my Son bc he wanted to dress up as Hamilton. Why not? I was SO surprised at the quality of this item. It's SO nice. This is a quality costume made of velvet material and is lined. Fits him perfectly. Very true to size. 10/10 I have a VERY happy kiddo.

I ordered this coat for a Halloween costume (I’m getting on it early this year), and it’s surprisingly great quality! It definitely smelled weird at first, but nothing some Fabreeze doesn’t fix. Whatever fabric it’s made of is very sturdy and has the quality of velvet. It’s also fully lined and silky on the inside, which is awesome! The only thing I’m worried about is the buttons—I might reinforce those as they feel a bit loose.I ordered a small, but I am a girl, and even though I’m tall (so it at least doesn’t drown me), I’m pretty petite. I wish an extra small existed, because it would have fit better. That said, it’s small enough that all I need to do is cuff the sleeves and take in the side seams, and it will look pretty good!As a note: I ordered the dark blue coat, and it’s quite a bit darker than the picture. It doesn’t really bother me, but it is a little difficult to distinguish from black.

I ordered this coat for a Halloween party at Dracula’s castle in Romania this year and the jacket was everything I had hoped for. It is a decent thickness, in the photos you can see where the jacket & sleeve length hits on me. I am 5’6 and ordered a small. Very comfortable to wear and even when we vacuum sealed it to pack for out trip, it came out fine with little to no wrinkles. A huge plus for us.Could easily be used for Steampunk or Bridgerton or in my case a vampire. Received lots of compliments on it. Will definitely use again.

This coat is wonderful just a little small. It is quite warm for the material is just thick enough to keep you warm.

I want to address the 1 star reviews. One guy bought a used costume and complained that it was obviously used. Okay... Another gave a one star because he liked the blue color. SMH. I did not find the jacket itchy at all and received compliments that I looked very formal. Which was the look I was going for. Make sure to buy the advertised long sleeve white shirts that finish the look. Not sure if one is wearing a long sleeve undershirt how the jacket could still be itchy.The buttons were secure and the color was as advertised.As for the fit, I think people just think they know their size and are sad when this jacket ends up being too small. The included size chart goes by actual measurements and the jacket fit great because it matched the chart. Use the chart. Also keep in mind the design of the jacket and vest is not based on modern jackets and rides higher, so some might conclude the jacket does not fit when it actually does.at any price this was a great costume and I am going to keep it in my costume collection. At the price, they are charging it exceeded expectations and you should ignore the one star ratings, but give yourself some time to exchange if you get the sizing wrong.
