My new favorite ramen
I've found my new favorite chili ramen. I'd been buying Nissin Top Ramen (Chili Flavor) because it's delicious and nicely spicy and, unlike most or all Maruchan offerings (including their Oriental and Chili flavors), it's actually vegetarian. (Yes, Maruchan ramen tends to have beef products in it even if it appears to be an entirely meat-free flavor.) When I told a friend that ramen was one of the staples of my diet, she told me it has basically no nutritional value (I kinda knew that, but hey, that's what vitamin supplements are for! lol), so I decided to look and see if maybe there was a more nutritionally valuable ramen out there. I don't much believe this ramen is that - the physical product gives every appearance of being the same as Nissin or Maruchan. But Ramen Express's noodles seem to be of a slightly higher quality - the mouthfeel has a smoothness and uniformity to it that makes me think so - and it's still nice and spicy and quite delicious while creating a slightly less rich broth, which is to my personal liking; I used to use less than the full contents of the spice packets because the other brands' broth seemed a bit over the top (no pun intended ;). And, like Top Ramen, it's vegetarian. *And* it does seem to have a shorter ingredient list containing fewer chemical-looking names.I may keep looking for a more "authentic" ramen (if there is such a thing), or I may just start adding in more veggies and other things to make Ramen Express ramen more nutritious. But this is definitely an improvement (in my opinion) over the two most common brands.I was only disappointed in the shipping: Amazon shipped me a flat that looked like it had been run into with a forklift (and the outer shipping box was undamaged and this kind of bashage could not have happened while the flat was in an undamaged box...which means some sequence of careless people knowingly picked and shipped a badly damaged product), so that I get a lot of short, broken noodles in most bowls. But that's on Amazon and not the manufacturer. The product itself is quite satisfactory and I recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative (and possibly a somewhat healthier one) to Nissin and Maruchan. 🙏🏻

good cheap ramen and a few warnings.
bought beef and chili.cook slightly longer, use slightly less water.i think the chili one isn't flavorful enough so use less. the beef needs more than chili but less than the package says.the texture of the noodles reminds me of top ramen and maruchan mixed together. its cheap and not bad, actually it's pretty good. as of writing ive been eating for a few days and can't complain about anything other than if you don't have any scissors or smooth knife to open the seasoning you literally cannot get it open which ive never seen with instant ramen before.

Spicy
It's spicier then I expected but still good. I think this is now my second favorite flavor from this brand

Almost acceptable! Taste great, convenient, inexpensive HOWEVER questionable ingredient(s):
I purchase these, however limit my intake. The least ideal ingredient is tripolyphosphate. In short EWG (*Environmental Working Group) rates this artificial food and cleaning additive a "D" which on a traditional scale is one from the very worst. I think that this is perhaps an overly harsh grade, as it is a salt (synthetic one though), so obviously the heart disease related illnesses are expected if eaten in excessive quantities (what is excessive). This is also reflected in the fact that EWG is still using its older grade rating system with only 5 levels whereas their newer more in-depth rating system has 11 levels. For those curious about the less known 2 ingredients, Disodium Inosinate and Disodium Guanylate are both rated at a 1 for "Fair" at EWG which is only one off from their best rating. Of course one could not use the seasoning packet and avoid the worst of these ingredients. Less than ideal, but an option. The other option is to literally spend 5 times as much and get the healthier organic brands. Tough to get ahead and stay healthy. Best of luck.Even if they had to charge a bit more, I'd happily purchase these more often, in greater quantity and consume them more frequently!

Great ramen that vegetarians can eat.
Good ramen. Great that its vegan and it tastes just as good or better than the well known grocery store ramen brands. Just wish it wasn't so hard to find as much now. I like using the ramen packs more than the cups but I see more cups nowadays.

Disgusting taste
Absolutely horrible taste. Not even remotely spicey as well. I took two bites out of it and ended up throwing it out.It is severely lacking flavor, and the noodles do not taste good.
