Q: is the 10" from tip to tip like done when really crabbing? or is it from the ends of the legs?

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. It is 10" from largest point on the shell to the other largest point. It is 5" from front to back...and about 2" thick. If you add the legs, it puts it at 17" left to right and 9" from claws to back. I hope this information is helpful.Respectfully, T2T

Q: Can it be displayed outside exsposed to the weather?

I have my crab outside in shade but eventually everything will slowly fade.

Q: Can i put this in a fish tank?

We have them under a fish net on the roof of our tiki bar so they aren’t exposed to the elements. We love them but they are fragile and hand painted so no I would not recommend a fish tank
