Not loving my new Chacos because...
I have worn Chacos since the late 90's and currently own 3 other pairs of Chacos -1 pair of z1 classic and 2 pairs of z2. All are womens size 8 and absolutely comfy beyond any other shoes or sandals... but these are off. They feel too big and the strap across the heel feels too loose on the right sandal more than the left. If I adjust the straps so the heel strap feels correct the arch strap is too tight. I so wish I could send them back for a 7.5 but can't seem to find where the seller offers a half size in the solid black z1 classic. I will probably return them. I have been fitted for this brand at a local store that sells Chacos so either they are being made by a new manufacturer or I received a defective pair. I am sad I can't honestly give a 5 star review because all my past Chacos have been an excellent fit and quality. The sandals looked like they were made with the same quality out of the box BUT not the fit.

Very popular and for good reason
Purchased these for Hawaii. Knowing we would be hiking, doing beaches and pavement..I wanted something versatile. I read a ton of reviews before ordering. I had never heard of this brand before. I received them and casually was showing my daughter my packed stuff for Hawaii and she was like, “oh you got Chaco’s? My friends have them and love them!”I was like… “hmm I guess they are good.” LolAnd Wow! They were the best choice for my trip! They are my go-to’s now. I live in the PNW so hiking and beaches will be a forever thing. Now I notice these everywhere’.. photo’s, even the airport I saw plenty of people with these sandals on.

Love these sandals.
If you travel and/or hike a lot, Chacos are really a game changer. I'm a huge fan of the durability, versatility, and comfort of these particular sandals. I've done several full day long hikes in them with no comfort issues at all. The traction isn't the same as a hiking boot, but it's pretty good for most terrain- especially if you're doing a lot of water crossing. They're great for travel because they can function as a shower shoe or casual shoe and are great for rainy days. The only issue I ever have is that eventually the two-piece sole separates and must be reglued. However, I am very hard on my sandals and it has taken several years for my previous pairs to do this. This particular model has a VERY long strap that hangs low on my average-sized ankles.
