Good quality
Well made and good finishing on the stitches. As usual with leather products, the leather comes dry a good moistener is recommended.

Worth every penny!
First off... I went ahead and gave this a 5 star review even tho the snap on the sheath didnt fit my KA-BAR as I wished it would. The reason it did not fit is because my KA-BAR is the WW2 Camillus Issued Knife (1944-1945) model. The handle of my particular model knife is a bit wider than the USMC knife issued and sold today. Really it's no big deal, with a slight modification, removal of the original strap and replacement with 550 cord everything is good to go! I stuck with the 5 star review because regardless of my model knife this sheath is solid and very well made for the KA-BAR it is designed for. There is a sticker on the sheath that states it is made in Mexico, I understand that may be a problem for some but for $11.00 you can't really expect much more. The leather is actually of very good quality. It's not super stiff, but not super soft either. I will be conditioning it just to make it a bit more pliable per my liking. All in all if you are looking for a replacement sheath for the KA-BAR this is definitely a good investment! You can't beat the price and quality!

Fits a 7 Inch Old Hickory Butcher knife very well
I needed a sheath for my Old Hickory 7 inch butcher knife that was more substantial than using the temporary homemade cardboard/duct tape sleeve. This fit very well and still snaps over the wooden handle like it was made for it. Fairly robust leather; much slimmer than a condor sheath but has a decent grain and smell (you all know what I'm talking about...love the smell of leather). Stitching is not bad, but rougher and less refined than a condor sheath. I enjoy the stamp, but it seems a bit sacrilegious to be made in Mexico and yet represent our United States Marine Core.

Well made
Leather snap was a little short, little water stretched it right out and fits WW2 kbar perfectly.

I Had to Switch Back to the Classic
I've tried the fancy kydex with the multitude of molle crap. Don't get me wrong- those do have their uses. But, for simple belt use, the leather sheath just works. The belt loop is big enough that it flexes when sitting or bending. The retention snap is high enough on the handle so that it doesn't interfere with deployment or re-sheathing. (In over 8 decades of Ka-Bar success, too many sheath makers have never learned from that.)It wasn't broken, I shouldn't have tried to fix it. I have no regrets switching back to the leather.

Perfect Fit for My KA-BAR Mark II Knife
Made of very durable cowhide in Mexico, this attractively embossed leather sheath was a perfect fit for my KA-BAR Mark II (WW II vintage) knife. Like a quality baseball mitt, the sheath feels thick and stiff but once "broken-in," it fits perfectly. It took a little strength and stretching, but I was able to snap the straps on the knife handle. After I left the snap on for a few minutes, I undid the snap and was able to button the straps again quite easily. The sheath is well crafted, especially the Marine Corps embossing, and the leather smells pleasantly genuine.
