This is not at all a system for novices. First, you MUST have a wireless keyboard and mouse COMBO. There is only one USB port, so ensure your keyboard and mouse share the same dongle. Second, it runs Android, but you don't have access to the Play store. So you have to hunt for the app files on third party sites and risk malware. Download those to a USB drive and then move them to the Maxhub and install them. Third, it is not compatible as a Zoom Room. It can be a Zoom user, but not a Room.It was about 6 hours of frustration before we finally gave up. Our company had ordered 6 and we are returning all 6.

Pros:This is an Android 8 device with a superior speaker/microphone combo (think expensive speakerphone from your conference room) that provides a good conferencing experience for large rooms with multiple participants. Amazing pickup of far-away speakers and good echo cancellation.If you know how to sideload APK files, you can install Zoom, Teams, Skype, WebEx, etc right on the device.If you have a USB hub you can plug in more than one device, like say a USB key for app installs and a keyboard/mouse. Perhaps even a mini wireless keyboard/mouse, for slick control of the device.Standard 1/4 20 screw hole on the bottom, and wall mounting tray included.I don't see any other products with this feature set on the market, where you can mount it near your TV and not have to run cables.Cons:Note it's Android 8 (Oreo) and not a more modern Android. The current version is 12. I don't know of a good way to update it.No Google Play store installed. I was unable to sideload it successfully. I thought I had all four dependent APK files (correct version, installed in the correct order)Wireless was buggy, resorted to using EthernetNavigation between apps and the home screen takes some getting used toThe camera is not great in practice. Decent enough but not amazing. You can tell who people are.If I was not a former Android app developer and Fire TV sideloading veteran, I don't think I would have figured this out.Improvements:If you could Chromecast and AirPlay to this device it would be amazing. It comes with an off-brand, clunky screensharing technology installed. You have to install janky proprietary apps to try to share your screen. No app for Macs.If there was a way to make it appear as a Bluetooth device that showed up as both a speaker AND a microphone (appeared/paired like AirPods to your phone or computer, but was up on the wall), it would be perfect. Then you would not care about installing the apps on the device itself; you could run them on your local phone/PC/etc and use the device for mic/speaker.

Shots and video quality are extremely clear and fluent, the look of the camera is professional. And by the way it is a heavy webcam. Kind of expensive in my opinion, but hey it is very clear! Really liked it, feel like using it for the rest zoom meetings in my life!Update: just tested the microphone out in Zoom, it was amazing! Better than my 60 dollar corsair headphone microphone, and it dismiss environmental noises. Really nice!

I was very skeptical of buying another webcam because my past two webcam purchases didn’t turn out well. I purchased this because all the reviews are recommending it and I need a decent webcam for my work. Since I got the webcam two weeks ago, I’ve been using it everyday for my Zoom and WebEx meetings.I can see a significant increase in the picture quality. Besides the 4K video quality, another feature I really like is the autofocus. Also the cable is using usb c and detachable, you have the flexibility to purchase a longer cable if needed.Overall, this is on par with other name brand webcams such as Logitech but at a lower price. I would recommend this to my friends and colleagues.

Bought for my friend's computer Win 10 so she could do video using Zoom. Opened the package connected the USB cable. I went into settings for Camera to see if it was really working and there I was looking at myself, a little scary. She has been using the camera to video with friends for the past few days no problem. Video and audio quality are excellent.This is a quality, high definition web cam. When we use it on Zoom, our video feed is clean and sharp as a tack while the others are badly focus and cloudy.
