Not Just for Birds
We were pleased to see that the front, back & side panels of this flight cage were prefabricated & already covered in mesh. The 2 side panels have the legs, and while the front & back panels are otherwise identical, the front is shorter - allowing room at the bottom of the cage for the pull-out tray.We actually bought this for our (indoor) cat, so she could enjoy being outside without running free. Once assembled, we added a long thick branch from the woods to straddle the vertical space, then attached a sturdy shelf up high for lounging. No doubt the cage will fail to stand up to the weather for very long, out there in the open. In fact, since we're using it as a semi-permanent fixture outside, we turned the pullout tray upside down, exposing the cedar base to the elements as opposed to the glossy white material (whatever it is) intended for use w/birds. Bungee cords keep the cage in place against gusts of wind (it is much lighter than you'd expect), and a neat, clean tarp protects it when not in use. If we get truly horrible weather, it is light enough & short enough to bring through the door into the house. All in all, the assembly itself was easy, if tedious, but there were several points of confusion which wasted a lot of our time. Hopefully we can spare you those missteps.Upon first opening the package, we noticed a nifty little screwdriver included w/the hardware... However it appeared to be a flat-head screwdriver...while all the screws were of the Philips variety! Upon closer examination, we realized the screwdriver had 2 heads, 1 of each type, with 1 tucked inside the other. That it also turned out to be a magnetic tip was a bonus. Yes, we intended to use a power drill, but some of the screws were far smaller than my husbands screwdriver bits. Our next point of consternation - and the biggest one - is that there seemed to be far more parts in the package than were accounted for on the parts list. What these parts were called, where they went, and how they were attached literally required a magnifying glass (to examine the tiny illustrations) & some genuine sleuthing. See listed below those specific parts:1. The piece that looks like a miniature horse trough is the cap for the roof, which straddles the gable front to back, w/the hollow of the trough directly on the roof.2. The large flat pieces w/green rubbery lining on 1 side comprise the 2 sections of the roof.3. The 4 bars of wood w/dovetail cuts running the length of them are caps for the front and back edges of the roof, and must be attached w/the beveled edge UP, or the screws miss their mark & shred the wood.4. The illustrations show only 1 small bar of wood attached to the front of the cage, positioned ostensibly to keep both hatches closed... Yet there were 2 of those small bars - and 2 larger ones - included in the package! After trying many configurations, we finally determined that the larger bars should be attached on the inside of the cage, at the top & bottom of the strut separating the hatches, and in such a way as to keep the hatches from swinging inward. Then we attached the 2 smaller bars on the outside of the cage, on the same strut, to act as hasps which could be turned aside in order to open the hatches individually.A note to the wise: It seemed sensible to affix the hatches & hasps to the front panel of the cage BEFORE attaching said panel to the rest of the cage. All in all, we are pleased w/this product & would recommend it to others for birds & other small pets. The mesh is tight enough that it would keep an adult domestic mouse from escaping, and strong enough to contain smaller species of parrot. Do note that the pullout tray as well as the wooden hasps offer escape points for any pet clever enough to manipulate them, or determined enough to chew them up. Suitably sized drawer & gate hardware would be more secure. Also, we acknowledge that even though we're taking precautions, the cage's lifespan will be shortened by keeping it outdoors. Thus, we do not recommend it as an outdoor enclosure.

Definitely would not recommend. Basically had to rebuild the thing
Definitely would not recommend. Basically had to rebuild the thing. All wood splits and shreds very easily and many pieces were split and broken upon opening. The pieces that were already put together were done so with small little pin nails that were pulled apart already when I opened the box. Since I needed something immediately and only wanted it for a temporary situation, I did work with it to put it back together but otherwise it definitely would have gone back. As it was I ended up spending 2 evenings gluing, nailing and screwing things back together. Instructions were worthless. Very crudely done and obviously English was not the main language. Still don't know where the last 6 screws were supposed to go. Not very practical either. They said something about the top being rain proof as well as the bottom tray. I suppose that meant it was supposed to be suitable for outside. No way it would last outside. The tray at the bottom has no drain holes or anything. If it gets wet, water would accumulate and the fiber board or whatever it is made of would probably swell up and fall apart. Aside from that, if you pull the tray out to clean the bottom, there is no wire at the bottom, so unless you figured something out, the birds could definitely escape. Does look cute enough.....will not at all last long.

Not great for birds.
The media could not be loaded. Not easy to build. Took about 3 hours. Wood is very soft, easy to split. My birds lived in it for 5 months before I upgraded to a better cage. The pull out tray is very difficult to clean. The chicken wire is also obviously not very sturdy so it made it difficult to add ledges or toys to the side of the cage. I’m going to save the cage and use it for a future lizard.

Perfect!
It was a little harder to install, but my husband did it. It is of cheaper quality but perfect for our little guy. He loves it. Overall, good for the price.

Finished product is ok. Building it was not...
Now that it's put together I do like it. But here's the thing....It arrived on time and the box was intact. All the pieces inside looked good. I take out the instruction and it's printed on plain printer paper. No big deal except it appears the manufacturer's printer was almost out of ink. They were useless. I had to wing from this point on. There were no pilot holes drilled for the hinges on the doors. There was a screwdriver in the box but it sucks. Some of the screws worked well with a drill but the silver screws stripped out almost instantly even after drilling a pilot hole. And good luck figuring out what screws go with what. I had to wing that too. I had a whole lot of screws that wouldn't work for anything and was missing the screws I needed for the knobs on the doors. Also, don't plan on having anything like a perch attached to a single side. The mesh is far too flimsy to support anything that doesn't span the width of the cage and secure to both sides.

The worst product ever!
I’m not one to write reviews, but oh man, I had to with this product. It’s absolutely horrible! The wood is super cheap pine and even though on pictures the color looks nice in person it’s a weird ugly orange tint. The instructions are as horrible if not worse then the product as it’s not clear at all. The roof brings two pieces which were not cut to size correctly therefore my husband had to cut and fix it himself. Lastly, this would never hold up to outdoor elements, it’s just horrid. If your looking for an outdoor aviary, this is not the one. Any good reviews you read are absolutely a lie.@pawhut you missed out on a good customer, I was going to buy a chicken coop you guys sell. Well, won’t be doing so anymore.
