Q: is this a pumice stone?

It is not a pumice stone. It’s made of some type of hard rubber. Worked great on a rust stain that I had.

Q: I had calcium build up on my pool plaster. Can this be remove with this?

It did not work on my pool stains. Bug stains and plant stains. Did not work.

Q: will this damage a freshly painted pool?

It's been awhile since I used this on a rust stain (that turned out to be rusting rebar down in plaster that needed major repair) but I think this eraser would NOT be good on freshly painted pool. I suspect you'd strip the paint right off.
