Update: still using these. One teacher aide dropped a timer while trying to set it, and it won't turn back on. These are not super expensive, so just don't expect long lasting, i guess. The others are still working. I still think they are easy to use, but just bummed a bit. I mean, we all drop things occasionally, and i can't keep buying timers when my students or their paras drop them accidentally. Just adding this to update.Original post:I am using these for 2 reasons:1. I am using it for time out for my 2yo. I keep it on my fridge (magnetic back) and when he needs a time out, I put him on his spot, and I turn it on, push the minute button once and hit start (for a minute time out). I tell him he can get up when he hears the beeps. It works REALLY well.2. I teach physical education to students just out of H.S. who need a little extra help getting acquainted with real-world situations. we are setting some goals and need a timer to time certain workouts. since CoVid hit, they all need their own equipment. these work well, are easy to use, and they don't break my budget.they do have a little back stand on them that falls off pretty easily...like...when you move it. so unless you remember to have super delicate hands when moving the stand part, it will probably fall off. but there is a string that attaches as well as a magnet on the back that sticks to things like fridges... or magnetic white boards... if you are on the fence and you need a timer, this is a good one.

This timer works great for young kids. The stand is a bit flimsy, but hasn't broke. The magnet works great on my magnetic bulletin board, but slides down on my satina fridge. You do have to remember to turn it off or the battery dies. On my first order one timer did not work. I emailed the company and they sent me a replacement.

I didn't like that it doesn't have a silent mode as well the alarm is really loud.

We use these in our bar and grill for the fryer. Use different color timer for each basket. Large display and easy to set. Loud enough to hear in busy kitchen. Bought a set for my personal use at home too.
