One of the best bathroom inventions ever
Was chatting with a few friends and somehow the conversation turned to bidet seats. My friends who had them swore that they were absolutely fantastic and a must have in any bathroom. I thought they were crazy. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to get one to see what the fuss was all about. I did some research and this Kohler model came up as highly rated and the price was pretty good, so I bought it. The seat is very easy to install and comes with all the hardware needed. Everything was a very good quality and went together well. If I had one gripe, it would be that it's difficult to align on the toilet due to the fact that it has a separate bracket that installs apart from the main seat, so you really can't see how things line up until you slide the seat onto the bracket. However, this design makes it very easy to attach and detach for cleaning, if you ever needed to.The seat functions well and I like the fact that it has two separate cleaning stalks which work in slightly different ways to get you clean. Both cleaning stalks spray water with very accurate aim. There are a few types of Bidet seats, some which have heated water, and some that don't, like this one. Each has its own advantage. The non-heated models (like this one) don't require electricity and generally have more cleaning power since they don't rely on an internal pump for the water spray. Heated models are less powerful and require a power source, but they do have heated water, which some people might want. I was worried about this since spraying cold water on yourself might be a shock, but in reality, it's not a big deal and not worth the extra price / complexity of a heated model. Apparently, humans don't have a lot of sensitivity down there, so the cold water really isn't much of a shock.I'm really satisfied with how this thing works and it's a must-have in any bathroom.

It does the work and it is very easy to install.
(1) I was able to install this in less than 10 min (you'll only need an adjustable wrench). It is not as comfortable as the pure tide but overall, I like the design better. IMHO it is better designed than the Kohler Puretide.(2) Pressure is good to get rid of those nasty brown particles and leave the area sparkling clean.(3) It is important to note that you must connect the end of the white hose, the one that has the filter in it , to the seat and not to the three-way joint. I did this and I couldn't figure out why it was leaking water. I had no clue that the hose had a filter since other Kohler Bidet seats have the filter inside the seat. So, for those that are complaining about leaks: Make sure the white hose is properly installed with the filter next to the seat.Let's see how much it will last. My previous Kohler bidets (puretide) had issues and Kohler sent me replacements (loss of water pressure inside the seat, wand leaking). During that time, my experience with Kohler customer service was very very good (they sent me a new bidet without giving me a hard time)

Inferior quality, fit, and function.
Over a year ago, we bought one of the mack-daddy $300 Kohler toilets with 'everything', including the elongated seat. Life interrupted the bathroom redo and we found the included seat was broken when we unboxed. Our bad that we didn't check the contents while still under warranty and we wanted to replace the bidet we had on our old one anyway. We've owned much cheaper bidets and were looking forward to the, presumed, higher quality and easier installation of the Kohler. Wrong on both counts. The weak 'streams' are barely strong enough to hit your butt, let alone clean, and the seat is already loosening and shifting on the bowl after 24 hours. If you're looking for a bidet, this ain't it.

A few things I had to get used to but overall happy experience
My upstairs Kohler enlongated toilet needed a new seat and I wanted to install a bidet, so this was a two birds one stone sort of scenario.I've had a few bidets in the past though this is the first one built into the seat. Installation was easy and I like that you can remove the seat if need be for cleaning or otherwise (there's a button on side opposite the bidet knob and the whole thing slides foward). There were a few things that I needed to get used to though:- The bidet internals are built into the back of the seat so the seats hinge is ~4 inches forward from that of the top covers hinge. This makes the target area of the bowl smaller similar to a normal sized toilet (not a big deal at all).- with the toilet seat hinge being set forward to the lid this means that when fully opened it doesn't touch the top lid (shown in image), I was used to hearing an audible noise when the lip is fully up, either a clink or thud, since there's no indication of this I can see it being pushed further than 90* leading to possible breakage from leverage.-Both the toilet seat and the top covers have a "silent close" feature that will slowly close with gravity when pushed past a certain point. Though this takes ~20 seconds and I usually find myself just pushing it down by hand to save time. Besides what happens if you become accustomed to the "silent close" feature and end up using a toilet that doesn't have it... *SLAM*-The bidet controls use a single rocker knob to control mode and intensity where all the way forward is back wash ON and all the way back is is feminine wash ON, and centered is OFF. I originally had issues with not having it centered in the OFF position and having one of the nozzles drip. Tip: If you listen there's a 'click' in each position if you listen for this second click when turning it off you'll have no problems with this. There were a few personal hurdles I needed to get used to but after a month I can say I'm enjoying it and I'm happy with my purchase.

Decent quality for the price point
Every time I travel I come back wanting a bidet (I’m not sure why they aren’t more common here in the USA). This is even more convenient and way less expensive than a bathroom remodel. My plumber installed it in about 20 minutes and it seems to be working well. The unheated water is not an issue for me and I like the simplicity. Fit my Kohler toilet perfectly.

Not polished chrome handle.
Handle was a white plastic. Not a polished chrome handle from seller image.Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Good replacement,T pipe joint thread was not a good fit, need to get a new one from hardware store to fit.Other than that, it works well.
