Great hit with the kids on our trips to the beach and on a lazy weeknight at home - make the best grilled cheeses. It has a good construction and easy to clean, once you figure out how to take apart and put it back together.

I thought I would just make grilled cheese sandwiches with it but it turned out to be more than that. I like to make French toast with it. Then I found out I could press a chashu bao (Chinese steamed barbecue bun). You can warm it up on each side so it's crispy on the outside and warm and moist on the inside. It's become my favorite morning breakfast. If you have a Trader Joe's in the neighborhood you can pick up some frozen buns there and try it. Absolutely yummy.

This is a wonderful product. I had one before as a gift and needed another for my grandson I taught him how to use it . He is 9 yrs old he takes it camping etc. Loves it. His Mother loves it she never has to make his lunch. he makes his own sandwiches all kinds. he even fried a mashed potato patty in it, weenies ,hamburgers, you name it he has tried it. ten stars **********

Have not had a chance to use this yet, but it really is made well. We used to use one of these when we were kids and just getting it really took me back. I figure it would be good during a power outage as well, you can pop it on the grill. I look forward to using it soon.

In the description it states it is cast iron. We have an induction cook top. I believe it is cast aluminum, will not work. I gave it to my daughter. I’m waiting to hear from the company, if they make one in cast iron I will buy it.

I was looking forward to recipes contained in the instruction manual, but it was not sent. The box appeared to be a return. There were several small chips on the silver colored handle. Even with all this, I would have kept the item, however, in reading additional reviews it would not work on my cooking service. Returned and was handled very professionally.

This thing made cooking grilled cheese sandwiches and paninis so easy. Until it broke. The way the handles are attached doesn’t make it possible to fix. I probably used it 20 times or so in those 6 months and would’ve hope for it to last longer.

I was given one of these toasted sandwich makers for my birthday. We tried it one day using some leftover grilled salmon and cheese between slices of homemade bread and it was an instant winner! Plus it's easy to clean up. Probably works best on a gas range. We like it so much that we've since ordered two more to give as gifts.
