03.07.23 UpdateI originally posted the review below and I was going to remove it, but I believe the better decision would be to just amend it because this company really reached out to me (multiple times because I originally refused to reply). I do apologize for the comments prior, I was quite upset with the first product I received and that was after trying to make it work (nothing is perfect and with supply and demand, a little twist of a screw or redoing of a connection is not that big of a deal if a product doesn't come perfect). This was not that. The first product had corrosion inside the power wires (so only some colors would work periodically) and could not be plugged in all the way or else the lights would not work at all. It had to be pushed in just right to work.I needed it for a special thing I was trying to do and had to be super delicate to get it to work for that event. However, it did work...kinda. Needless to say, I was not satisfied and after realizing it was indeed beyond my capacity to fix I wrote the review below.The company reached out, I ignored them, and they reached out again. It was spacious enough that it wasn't a bombardment and actually gave me time to cool down and really think (about my silliness towards it all) and so I am writing this amendment to the review.I ordered a 2nd set because the other products for outdoor led light strips gave very unclear information about whether or not it was truly able to be outside. I can confidently say, this product works outside in rain, storm, and sun (winter didn't bring the test of snow, ice, and extreme cold for me this year but the roll is plentiful that I can replace strips if need be). I can confidently say, that the new power cable I received in the 2nd set worked immediately as intended and with the app.I can also confidently say, this is a company that doesn't take irate ramblings personally (see irate rambling below) and will actually work with you to fix the issue (so my thank yous to them for that). I can in, good faith, recommend this company for your outdoor led light strip needs. If it doesn't work at first, reach out to them, and work together to solve it.tl;dr don't be like me, if the product doesn't work, reach out. Do not give them your business.It did not work the first time I plugged it in.I tried 5 different outlets 2 outside and 3 inside. I unconnected and reconnected the adapter to the box and the power connector.I'm so upset right now, because this was going to make a special event really pop for someone special to me. I just needed it to work out of the box, THATS IT. no trimming, didn't need the app, but I thought I'd try that too. Didn't change anything from it coming out the box.But hey the remote works, it lights up at least.Do not waste your money with this.Do not waste your money with this company.I would say, it's cheap, but no it's priced competitively (disregarding an occassional discount) with others on this site and with decent ratings. I guess quality has dipped somewhere.

I really like that these LED lights have the IP65 rating, which are designed for outdoor use. Of course, these lights can be used indoors as well, so it’s especially nice to have this convenient choice. The lights are very high quality and the colors choices are infinite. You can choose any color or colors with solid or changing colors & patterns and you can adjust the brightness intensity using the dimmer function, all this with the easy to use remote control! These lights are super easy to install and they even come with adhesive tape that’s already attached to the back of the light strips which allows very fast installation. In fact, if you look at the attached photos of our gazebo, we were finished installing and operating in less than 20 minutes.I also like the long 60 foot length. Most other brands are in the 32 foot range. UPDATE 2: parts of the lights now don’t light up the correct color. I purchased these august 2022 and by June 2023 they look like crap. Waste of money and time._________UPDATE: the app has been updated and I now have the rainbow lights of my dreams! Very happy with them now.. from 2 stars to 4, it could still be a bit more user friendly, I would still like to see customizable styles, and the install kit is still garbage, but overall they’re pretty good for the price!______________________________So the app.. It is truly awful. These lights are capable of so much more than the app allows. It works to turn them off and on and change the color but functions like the timer function do not work at all. I also really wanted to set the lights to rainbow to match my rainbow Twinkly Christmas tree, and although literally every image they show in this listing show homes lit up in brilliant rainbow colors, I was very disappointed to find out this was not an option at all. I feel the photos are very misleading because the actual product is only capable of one color at a time on the entire strip. They have pre-set color changing styles in the app, which lets the lights alternate between colors, but they are all hideous styles and colors and do not “flow” if that makes sense. It’s either one color or the other. And this would be tolerable if they would let you set your own colors for the style or let you create your own styles but they don’t allow this in the app. But the lights themselves ARE capable of smooth transition of colors because when you play with the color wheel you can watch them blend seamlessly. So basically I can only get the effect I was wanting if I sit there and spin the color wheel on the app all night with my thumb. Again, I believe it’s just the apps programming really putting a limitation on the capabilities of these lights. I don’t understand why they can’t put that as a function and I am hopeful that one day they update it and include it.Anyway, I’m not taking them down because they’re already up.. but I won’t be upset if they quit working because I will definitely be getting some better quality lights like Twinkly that come with an actual functioning app with fully customizable settings.Also if you read this and still decide to buy them (you definitely shouldn’t, just go get nicer lights) a bit of advice: buy adhesive clips off Amazon to install. I was not about to climb a ladder and drill 40 holes into my house but the adhesive clips work great.
