My kitchen’s old backsplash is a plastic laminate that was in serious need of a makeover.I originally intended to remove the laminate and install a ceramic tile backsplash, however I’m planning to install granite countertops in the next year, or so and I didn’t want to have to replace a new tile backsplash at that time.I saw these faux tile squares and thought they would be a good transitional solution.These are much nicer looking than I expected and are so easy to install.The adhesive is quite strong and holds very well. Preparation is the key, however. I cleaned the old laminate with a concentrated all purpose cleaner, then wiped the entire surface with acetone, followed by 91% isopropyl alcohol. Every bit of grease, dirt and any other contaminate was removed.These tiles are flexible, yet rigid enough that lining them up during installation is a snap.I peeled the backing paper only half way, then lined up the tile and secured it in place, then peeled the remaining backing paper and secured the entire tile in place.The tiles are extremely easy to cut with a razor knife, which I highly recommend using. I also used a speed square as a straight edge guide for the blade, which I also highly recommend using.The color and the printing are fantastic and from just a few feet away, look very realistic and have a great 3 dimensional effect.If you’re looking for an inexpensive, great looking solution for a backsplash, look no further. These tiles are well worth the price!By the way, my local builder supply stores sell very similar tiles for over $12/tile. That’s roughly three times the cost. 😉

Easy to use! Fast and user friendly for kitchen remodel. It looks like something professional done and for way less cost! I would recommend this to anyone looking to add backsplash in a kitchen or bathroom. Great quality product.

This product has brought life to my kitchen. It was plain white when we moved into the house, and we wanted something with a little color. We went to a friend's house who used this same product for their kitchen island. With help from our friend, my husband and he turned the island into a beautiful work of art as you can see by the picture. It was easy to install, and if they made a mistake they could easily peel it off to readjust. I just love it!

These were great quality and stuck very well. They were easy to install and looked pretty good. The only thing I didn’t like is how shiny they looked. Just didn’t work for our fireplace surround.

This was very easy to do. It was my first time. Suggestion: to get a good straight edge cut, I would use a paper cutter of some sort instead of exacto knife.
