It heats and stirs, but I am not entirely sure what the heat adjustment knob actually does. Perhaps it controls the rate of change in temperature per unit time? It seems to be either on or off, as the temperature just slowly rises. In retrospect, I should have selected the one that has a thermocouple and display. There is no information that tells you what to expect from the lowest vs the highest setting, so I don’t really know what to say about the temp adjustment knob. Does it work as designed? Who knows!

If you hook this up to a pid it will allow precise temp control. Works great!

The box it was shipped in was undamaged and prestige. It would be hard for me to believe the seller was unaware of the dent prior to shipping as the box was fine with no signs of damage(creases,folding). Will update the review if the seller replaced the outer shell. I would hope that it wasn't sent with the intent to claim it wasnt dented.

works well as a mantle. However, it does not have temp display which is important to the work i do. other than that works as advertised.

Someone had told me to get that exact same one because they had bad luck with other brands. Faithful is apparently Faithful because I don’t have a complaint on it and I was referred to it.
