This is a handy little flash drive with plenty of capacity and at a reasonable price.The drive is available in two capacities - 128Gb and 256Gb. I got the larger size as I had a number of big files that needed to be moved around and a flash drive was by far the easiest option to complete this task.It is a USB 3.1 flash drive so you will need free USB-A style port free to plug the drive into. If you only have a spare USB-C port then you would also need a USB-A to USB-C adapter.Transferring files onto the drive is quite slow, which is expected with most USB 3.1 flash drives, but with that said this Amazon Basics drive outperformed one of the big brands of external storage devices in a quick test I performed - which surprised me as the big brand was quite a bit more expensive. The read speeds are much faster than write, which is to be expected and I was getting 150MB/s read speeds.During long write activities the drive does warm up a little, but nothing to be concerned about.The USB connector on the drive can be retracted within the case of the drive to protect it from damage and this is a very useful if you transfer the drive around.Additionally there is a little loop at the end of the drive which is a handy feature if you need to carry the drive around as you can clip it onto a lanyard or key chain.

Amazon Basics 128GB USB Stick, USB 3.1 standard. Decided to buy a thoroughly modern USB stick to use for "live recording" of programmes on my new(ish) made in 2020 LED TV...all my computer USB sticks are at least 15 years old, USB 2.0 standard, smaller capacity with slower read/write speeds etc...the really old ones show considerable rust/corrosion from damp atmosphere, spilled drinks (the most extreme case being a bowel of Pea and Ham soup that wiped out an entire keyboard)...if it does not work it's back to the Shellac Records and Wind Up Gramaphone....

Only four 🌟 for now as it was just delivered. So far so good. I managed to move a few files off my cloud onto it. That’s the main purpose of my purchase. Microsoft wants me to buy more storage and I’m tired of being forced to spend more money that way. So I managed to move some items and now it stopped telling me that I won’t be access emails, etc.I chose this particular USB based on excellent reviews. Size of the storage and price. I had to fiddle to open it but that might be due to my hit and miss approach to technology. Delivery was swift, item well packaged and seems well built ( strong, etc).All in all very pleased with my choice and I highly recommend.
