This will not be to everyone's taste. The smell which is quite fishy goes away once you wash and boil pasta for 1 min. Don't be put off by it.The pasta has no taste until you combine it with garlic/ginger/sauce etc. I just want to feel full and consume less calories, this is ideal. You can eat about 300 calories less per meal and still feel satisfied. This makes things a little easier as you feel full for longer. Texture is slightly more rubbery than rice noodles, will take a while to get used to it. Buy it and try it.

I wasn't sure I'm gonna like these noodles because the chewy taste that everyone says it has but I must say that I love them. Isn't much difference between them and spaghetti pasta especially if you dip them in a rich sauce as they do take the taste of the sauce. I've placed another order but I think it will be the last one as I find them far too expensive.If you are on a long-term diet I would recommend them as a treat,once in a while.

If they worked out at less than £3 a bag I'd have made it 5 stars.I didn't put my nose right into the opened bag, but had a quick sniff before rinsing with water, couldn't smell anything. Then boiled them for 2 Mins whilst I heated the mince, tomato and garlic sauce. Once boiled I added the meat sauce and a tiny bit of cheese.What were they like? Better than expected. They do take up whatever flavour is poured over them. They do look like very white worms, but if you don't look too close it's not a problem. Their texture is another thing. They are chewy in a kind of very thin rubber band way but easily chewable and as long as you have them with enough sauce again, it's fine.So in summary, I found the taste and smell negliable, the colour and texture a bit bizarre, but on the whole it does the job of being a filling substitute to the usual carbs. It only added 5 cals to a tiny dish of meat sauce and now I'm stuffed :) would have them daily if they weren't so expensive, but I will have them regularly.

I don't often write reviews, but am compelled to warn anyone else thinking of buying this product. I desperately wanted to like this, but really could not bring myself to eat one single mouthful.The noodles look disgusting, floating ominously in the bag, but the real horror comes when you open the bag: the smell of fish is overpowering. After rinsing them for several minutes I was still literally gagging at the smell and had to throw them away. I also had to bleach the sink and disinfect the sieve before putting it in the dishwasher. 6 hours later my husband came home and asked what on earth that smell was, and I can still smell it on my fingers. I can now smell the noodles outside despite double-bagging them and putting them in the food bin. It is quite incredible.If you have a strong stomach and a stronger will than I then good luck to you, but I genuinely do not know how anyone could bear to eat this.

Seriously I was soo pleased with these noodles. Bought them coz am trying to cut down on carbs coz of health kick and also wheat intolerant but being Italian I can't resist my pasta and truth to be told, love my Chinese stir fries...I was somewhat scared after reading reviews of bad smell and odd texture but found that they were all exaggerated. The smell for one is very faint and it goes the minute you rinse them so out of the packet and under running water and you hardly notice it. The texture is just like pasta but overcooked. I think the secret is in the sauce you eat them with! As long as you can cook and good sauce or make a nice stir fry, then you will hardly notice the difference from the real thing. One thing I suggest, when boiling the noodles add a teaspoon of salt to the water for added flavour.

I must admit to having been very very apprehensive about these noodles. The reviews almost made me regret buying them but I'm so glad I did.Yes, they do smell a little when you open them but it's just fish! Anyone that actually eats fish or enjoys fish of any kind ought not to be disturbed by it! I would assume the people most offended by the smell are also the least likely to go near healthy fish products.But the smell goes after a little rinse and boil. I also dried fried mine, added some veg, stock, flavouring, bingo, a delicious filling meal.These things are superb!

Have used these for a while as part of a calorie controlled diet. They don't have much taste on their own but work very well if you use a tasty sauce in the dish you are cooking - work particularly well with oriental type sauces.I would give these 5 stars as a product but the last batch I received smelt strange when I opened them. When I checked, they were more that 2 months over the "sell by" date. Amazon responded quickly and efficiently and I received a replacement the next day. I shall check the "sell by" dates on every batch I order in the future.

Simply rinse them in water (as in a miso type water), I boil them separate OVER my partners full fat noodles with a strainer over it if that makes sense as only need couple mins/blanching.Adding a pinch of 'chinese five spice' does wonders to the taste!Pour over stir fry- and is lovely!I Reccomend this with it-Sweet Chili Sauce with Veg:4 tablespoon Splenda or Xylitol3 pieces garlic cloves, peeled1 tablespoon light soy sauce1 tablespoon (Rice vinegar, red vinegar or normal vinegar) optionalCouple chillis deseeded cut up and added.Splash of oil if needed.Dont have to be exact with quantitiesThen add pak choi, spring onions, quorn, mushroom, what ever you like! to the sauce- pour over = Low calorie Heaven! :)LITTLE TIP - cut them up before covering with your sauce- they will taste better as can be a bit squidgy all long.
