Attractive and functional
Excellent for wide variety of knives. It’s big enough but not boxy/bulky. Slots are roomy without being too big. Very pleased with this item. Wood grain is nice also.

Not always universal, but…
The knife block is absolutely beautiful, but, unfortunately it did not fit the new knives I bought. So, universal it is not. I was going to return it, and then I tried my old knife set which were still perfectly good; and, walla, they fit. So now I’m going to give it to my daughter. I know she’ll love it.

knives go through the bottom
the bottom of this product lets the knives go through to the counter tip. I had to make modifications so it wouldn't scratch my counters if I moved it. The knives protrude past the base.
