I tested the heating element and fuse on my dryer and the heat still didn't work. Since I received all new parts in the kit, I replaced them all. Once replaced, the dryer functioned like new, great value for this kit.

I did not investigate old parts by ohming but the thermal fuse was open so I just replaced the other parts in the box and the dryer was working. Durability and dependability wont be known for a year. Installation was easy by putting old parts in a can or bag. Shipping was wonderful as it arrived before the week was out , that way the wash could be dried the same day I washed clothes without hanging out on a line.It was all cheaper than calling a repair man which people did 2 decades ago.

The package came 1 day late, but it arrived. All parts are new. I did not use all the parts that were packaged because one attachment had a extra prung that I wasn't sure what to do with it. I just used the old part that wasn't damaged and it's working great. The dryer is nice and hot. I hope it last until I'm able to purchase a new one. To diagnose and fix my dryer I used YouTube University. FYI I am female and very handy because I don't want to pay for things I can fix myself.

Installed easy, looked pretty much the same as the orignal that lasted 7 years but this one burned up in 2 months. I ended up replacing with OEM. DO NOT buy unless it is for temporary use.
