This review is for Kenmore MHY62044103 Refrigerator Spring Counter Clockwise WoundWe have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator we bought brand new circa 2012. I'm including a picture of the model number for reference. The spring on the flapper snapped in half. We have a family member who is an appliance repair tech and he told us his cost was $17. 😬 I asked for the part number so I could find it here on Amazon.The database available to repair techs, calls for part number MHY62044103. I don't believe the seller of this spring is incorrect in citing this spring as compatible as it can work but there may be a better option for our model of Kenmore.We ordered this spring but it is much bigger than the original as well as having tails/legs (is that the correct term?) that are obviously longer than the original. (See photos)We were able to install this spring and it will get the job done BUT you will not be able to close the left door (the door with the flapper) without opening the non-flapper door. You MIGHT be able to snip about 1/16" - 1/8" off the tails and it MIGHT work fine.However, we opted to order part number MHY62044106 (also included in the picture) and you can see it looks much closer to the size of the original. After opening and closing the door a few times, it is working fine. We can close the flapper door completely as designed, without having to open the non-flapper door. The tails/legs on MHY62044106 are also about 1/16" - 1/8" longer than the original but we were able to install it with minor finagling 🫣. Again, with a good pair of wire cutters you MIGHT be able to snip a little bit off to make it perfect, but we didn't though.I hope this helps with anyone that has the older Kenmore refrigerator.

I just got my spring and it took me all of ten seconds to install it in the left door of my Bosch B21CL81SNS. Yes, it's hard to cram it into the small space, but that is because it is supposed to exert force on the mid-door plate.Bosch can't be bothered to make this part (which must fail thousands of times). Thank goodness others pick up the slack. I cannot imagine a more-five-stars product for less than ten bucks.

When the spring that attaches to the flipper on the door of my fridge broke, I searched online and I couldn't find anywhere that sells only this part even on Kenmore, Sears and some other third-party websites. I thought I had to buy the whole flipper assembly which costs almost $100. I searched on amazon and found this. Since it doesn't indicate if it fits my fridge model, I took a chance and bought it anyway and luckily it fits perfectly. Took two seconds to install. Well worth the money.

OMG! Found a broken spring on the floor and quickly discovered the left refrig door wouldn't close correctly.After I researched, ordered, and purchased (including shipping charges each time), 2 different (non returnable) mullion springs from Sears Parts for my LG refrig, I then found this CORRECT spring on Amazon! Love Amazon!(Sears said to get this spring I had to purchase and install the entire mullion! At $80+.)This mullion spring took me less than 5 minutes to install, and I am a 68 y/o grandma! Sooooo happy!! Spring arrived in a few days, price is amazing, anyone could install this spring!! Soooo easy!! Refrig door works perfectly!!

I bought this for our LG refrigerator with French doors. I can’t remember the model, but this spring is the one that works best. If you look closely at the springs that come with new fridges, one side is slightly longer than the other on some models. This spring replicates that and works well. It’s not perfect, but much cheaper than replacing the whole assembly as LG only supports.

Fits my LG Fridge, LFX25976SWI bought the same part from multiple different sources, and kept getting sent a spring that was wound backwards. This vendor sent the correct part. I think the source of confusion is some fridges have a spring at the top and bottom of the door, this would be correct for the top spring, but does not fit the bottom. My fridge has only a bottom spring, and this is the correct part MHY62044103 and it matches the picture.

The flap on the door was redesigned at some point and this spring fits the new design, not mine.I know this because I had to replace the whole flap, which came with the spring. The new design works better.I returned this spring with no problem.

This part was the perfect replacement part for my LG LFX28978ST/00 Model refrigerator. Easy to install after watching a YouTube video. Seems to be a quality part for the price.
