Best Microdermabrasion Machine for me!
My previous Crystalift machine that I have had since 2007 (that’s right, it lasted 12 years!!) broke. I was devastated! It was so nice to find the Crystalift Microdermabrasion machine on Amazon for $50.00 LESS than the company website!Take my advice, save some money on the crystals, and sign up on their website for auto refills (you save $10.00)...totally worth it.I’m 55 years old and I’m proud to say I don’t t look it and I attribute that to my weekly use of this machine!

Not as good as a professional microderm treatment
I am still trying to figure this thing out. It comes with 4 packets of crystals, but the machine seems to drain right through it pretty quickly. It is enough to cover your whole face, but much seems wasted and goes right back into the machine and ends up in a larger container. I need to find a way to pry that larger container open and get the unused crystals out. It hurts when you do it, even on a lower setting. My face turned pretty red. It does exfoliate, but I think there are other products out there that are just as good and much cheaper. Like the Neutrogena At Home system. That one doesn't have the vacuum, but I honestly don't feel like you need the suction to get the exfoliation. It exfoliates. That is what it does. Do not expect anything else.

Pros and Cons
How does it work? The machine comes with four refill containers and one return container. Once you place the return container in the machine, it's best to leave it in the machine. Removing causes the machine to loose suction. I have read reviews about customers trying to open and refill the powder containers. This will not work. Once you break the seal on the refill, you loose all suction! When your ready to start, pick the strength you want to use - how hard you want the powder to be pushed on your face and the amount of suction used to pull the powder and dead skin away. Place the wand flush with your skin, gently pull your skin tight and pull the wand across your skin. The wand has two separate cords. One cord is pushing the crystalift onto your face. The powder is being applied with such pressure it is loosing any dead skin. At the same time, the second cord is sucking up the powder and the dead skin that was loosened. When your finished, wash your face and apply moisturizer. Easy enough!I reviewed as three stars for the following reasons.Pros1. The system itself does remove dead skin leaving soft, shiny visible skin.2. It's small and lightweight. It doesn't take up much room when not in use. Mine is about the size of a two slice toaster.3. Doesn't make much noise. My water-pic is much louder that this device.4. Pricing compared to a spa. Ten dollars a week, ($40. a month) is pennies compared to the couple hundred spent for one spa microdermabrasion treatment.5. Easy scheduled refills. When I purchased my machine, I was given the option of when I wanted them sent. Once a month, every other month, every three months, etc..Cons1.To receive optimal results, most people will need to use the machine every week (sometimes twice a week). That's still $520.00+ a year. Microdermabrasion treatments are expensive but you can get gentle peels and facials for $35.00 getting results that last three months or longer, which is much cheaper.2. A fine layer of powder will begin to form on everything is the immediate area. You will begin to see crystals in your hair, on your clothes, all over the counter, on your walls. I started cutting open a trash bag and laying it over the bathroom counter.3. The wand is slanted on the end. Half the time, I had a really hard time keeping the wand flush with my skin (keeping good suction). I will be pulling the wand across my skin and notice the trail of powder was not visible. That happens a lot!4. I would have excellent suction but notice no powder was visible. The refill powder will be clumped, this happens a lot. I have to take it out, shake it, and put it back in the machine. Remember to achieve maximum suction, the containers are not suppose to be removed until empty (or full if it's the deposit container). I read a review that stated the powder is nothing more than baking soda. I don't know that to be a fact but I will say it does look like baking soda and once it clumps, it really looks like baking soda. Also, the price point kind-of says whatever it is, it's cheap.5. I know I put in the Pros, but the scheduled shipped refills are also a Con. Here's why,Unless it's changed, I have owned my machine for a year now, you must join their scheduled force shipment refill club to get the ten dollar per refill price. If you don't join the club for schedule shipments and order whenever you actually want refills, it's 12.00 per refill plus shipping and handling. Shipping and handling is free when you join forced shipments. Not having to worry about ordering is a Pro but any forced shipment product will always be a Con too, for financial reasons.I do believe the same results are easily achieved using a fine exfoliate while washing your face at night.

Great product for skin.
I have been using the Crystalift on and off for years. When I use it weekly, the results are great! Most recently, I’ve started using a rejuvenating gel daily, the Crystalift weekly. My skin appears brighter, wrinkles reduced, sun spots reduced and skin is more clear, it unclogs pores and my skin feels very smooth. Prior to using this machine I was paying $175 a week for face and neck for similar results. You do have to firmly align the tip of the handle with skin to avoid powder getting on surfaces. I usually prefer to use it before a shower. For the price, you can’t beat it! I much prefer this to the handheld “scrubbers” or diamond tip “sandpaper” or even chemical peels that really make a mess. This machine makes my face red for an hour or so, then all set.
