I first learned the amazing story of civets and their tie to coffee while playing a game of “Poop Bingo” with the family on Christmas Day. My interest was piqued and the order for Kaya Kopi Coffee was placed. Our package arrived on time and my son in law and I had a great time tasting the coffee both as an “instant” and in the coffee machine. It had a stronger taste than the coffee we are used to, but the enhanced flavor was enjoyable and not “too much,” just different. It wasn’t exactly my favorite cuz i don’t like the taste of coffee but I’d be lying if I said this isn’t the smoothest coffee ive ever tasted in my life. It’s definitely something a classy person would have to drink at least once in their lives. Quality is definitely better than your average coffee pot. It’s very gentle and modest with natural essences, like on the ranks of high grade matcha. I only gave it 4 stars cuz I don’t like the taste of coffee in general.

This coffee was wonderful! Kopi Luwak is something I’ve always wanted to try to but never had the guts to buy. With the recent purchase of a new French press, however, I figured the perfect way to break it in was to try some classy coffee to go with it. The Kopi Luwak came in very nice packaging, with a couple leaflets giving information about the Kopi Luwak coffee beans. This only increased my excitement to finally sip scrumptious juices of my pre digested coffee. Once I actualled brewed the coffee and tasted it, I was blown away. It was delicious. It was unique. It was bold. A wonderful cup of coffee. If you’re scared by the price, consider this. You can easily pay $10 for a cup of crappy coffee from Starbucks. So why not instead pay $10 for a premium cup of the rarest coffee in the world?

Oh what to say about the cat poop coffee.... Its tame, with an acidity that won't bite you. Its like having that warm friend who is good at cuddling and always smells good. It's flavorful in prrrrrsonality but not to pretentious in how it interacts with you. Definitely won't leave your throat feeling scratchy.Recommend adopting for the experience at least once.

I was very excited to try this coffee I heard so much about. Followed instructions but the taste was bad, bitter, unpleasant.I doubt if it is the real thing as this type of bean must be half digested. My beans are just perfect without any signs of digestion.

We were so excited to find this stuff at an affordable price point for holiday gifting. Can't wait to buy some more for my husband for his birthday!

I like how the company takes its product seriously. the package comes with a nice sealed bag and an "authenticity guaranteed" card, as well as some description of how the coffee is made. I like the fruity and chocolatey smell of the beans. However, I was not very impressed by the taste, which is rather pale. In all fairness, it could be because 10g of beans is too little (I did reduce the amount of water though). I am willing to get it another try with more beans next time.
