I will never go back to the Vax platinum carpet shampoo, this stuff is brilliant. I have a house full of teenagers that appear to have lost the ability to walk without spilling drinks and a dachshund pup who chooses to come in from the garden and pee on my carpet when I’m not looking. As you can see by the photos my carpet was grim but this stuff is great and my carpet survives another day!

It cleans well and smells nice ,you can tell when you have shampooed the carpet .

Firstly, the cleaner itself is really good. It cleans better than the standard Rug Doctor cleaner I was using and is good at removing stains. If I had one criticism, it would be that although the initial smell while cleaning the room was really nice and fresh smelling, within 24 hours that smell had completely gone, and I'm not fully convinced that it has neutralised previous odours we had within our hallway carpet. I'd definitely buy this cleaner again, based on its ability to clean well, but I do wish they'd boost the scent and odour neutralising quality further.

I’ve just bought a small spot cleaner for the rugs in the house - as with two dogs (one of which is a rescue pup still learning where the garden is when she needs to go) we’d unfortunately had a few overnight accidents on the dining room rug.I’d cleaned the whole rug a week ago when my new carpet cleaner arrived with a recommended enzyme cleaning solution for this kind of problem.Used the whole 1 litre bottle. A lot of dirt lifted out and the water was filthy. I went over it until the water rinsed clean.But 24 hours later the smell remained. I then tried an enzyme spray on the carpet. No joy. Tried a leave on and vacuum off product on both sides of the rug. Bleached the floor.Still the smell remained. And I could see she was tempted to mark it again.I am STUNNED to see how much extra dirt has come out of the rug just now with this cleaning solution. This was just a 1/4 of the rug by the back door. Did exactly as before - used 1:4 product to water as I wanted the solution concentrated and topped up with very hot water.Rug has a lovely fresh smell (so far) and is actually grey and white again.Fingers crossed the not so pleasant “Eau de Pooch” has gone.

Smells good! Stains and smells gone.

Smells gorgeous will have to do carpet and rug again as didn't clean too great first try.Not a product I could afford to use long term as you half fill tank with water and half fill with solution. I have cats and shampoo carpets regularly so 5 litres isn't going to last long. It's also very foamy which I didn't like. It took 5 rinses of dirty water tank to flush foam out.

Great quality Dirtbusters carpet shampoo..I won't use anything else...Great value for money and well worth it...Very highly recomended

Good cleaning carpet shampoo, and does clean well, but scent isn't overly strong.
