They do not come pre-seasoned. We do spray a light coat of soy oil on them to keep them from rusting while they are waiting to be purchased. Once you get yours set up, you will need to season it. We put instructions and recommendations in the manual, and they are available on our social media sites.

Q: How does this compare to the 1517 version?

This model has the accessory cutting board included as well as the garbage bag wire, where the 1517 does not. As for functionality, they are the same.
