Q: Are these heels really high

They’re high but it has a platform also, which make them more comfortable.

Q: are the bottom of this boot glued on?

No I think its attached with a screw or nail. The first pair I ordered were defective on the heel. There was a metal something that wasn't secure and poking up through the inside of the shoe. Hope this helps.
