Incandescent look worth the price
Expensive but dimming looks indistinguishable from halogen incandescent. And fit perfectly in fixtures designed for the old ones. From previous experience Philips don't last long but we'll see

Like incandescent but better.
I love the color and dimming performance on a standard dimmer. No flicker on Lutron dimmers and the color softens as they dim, so they look just like incandescent.

BEST Halogen replacement bulbs~!!!!
BEST Halogen replacement bulbs~!!!! I have tried them all. Tried so many brands from all around the web and home depot that you can imagine. THESE are the ones - finally!!:D Nicely Dimmable, they glow at the right temp/Kelvin upon dimming, etc... they disperse the light using a GOOD diffuser - LOOK no further. If you seek to replicate a halogen bulb, "WarmGlow" is the keyword for anything Philips (and yes, this manufacturer continues to be the SOLE & BEST at this). That said, I would highly suggest calling Philips and voicing your enthusiasm for this bulb... as i fear that it's perhaps no longer going to be produced, which would be super sad. If you want your bulbs to be eye-friendly, help with melatonin for sleep, and overall show the aesthetic that we've all as humans been accustomed to since the dawn of time... you want something like the bulb below which replicates the warmth upon dimming that an incandescent or halogen bulb used to produce.

Don't risk the cheap alternatives
These are phenomenal gu10 bulbs with solid build quality and a uniform casing but very expensive. The cheap ebay versions tend to burn out very quickly and pose great risks with electric shock, fire due to assembly, and overheating.

These are phenomenal
I have a LOT of recessed 'can' lights (~40 of them) that have 50W halogen bulbs in them. After about a year I decided we need to stop burning up so much energy so I started a search for LEDs to replace them. I got these Philips WarmGlows and they are awesome. The color temperature is a perfect warm white and is nearly indistinguishable from the halogens. On top of that, they dim *really really* well. It's not identical to a halogen and you may need to bring them all the way up to max brightness before dimming them back down if you really want to nail a particular level, but that's not a big deal. They do have a different physical appearance due to there being several little round 'groups' of LEDs, but unless you really look at them you can't tell and it doesn't matter anyway. Finally, they are only 400 lumens compared to the halogens' 430 lumens, but I think the halogens slightly dim over time.So these look a small touch brighter than the old halogens (the same thing would happen when I would replace a halogen with a new halogen; the new one looked brighter for a while until it seemed to dim over time).I'm looking forward to using one tenth the power across 40 bulbs!

Good bulb, dimming was a little jumpy
We moved into our house three years ago and there a ton of MR16 GU10 Halogen bulbs, all on dimmers. This week three of them went out and we decided to replace with them with LED's. We chose this bulb for three reasons: color temperature, dimming, and the warm glow dimming. The photos show this bulb fully on, and then through the dimming stages to basically off. On the right is the LED bulb and on the left is the halogen that it was replacing. The bulb is just as bright as the incandescent it is replacing. The warm glow dimming works pretty well, but generally the light was a little more pink when compared to the traditional incandescent. I think once we replace all of the bulbs this will be a lot less noticeable. Additionally there was also a little hesitation and jumpiness in the dimming which I am hoping will clear up if we replace the switch.I would have liked to give this 3 1/2 stars because of the color and dimming issues, but since half stars aren't possible I opted to round up to 4.

Great lightbulbs from a great vendor!
Philips warm dimming are the best quality LED bulbs hands down. They dim like old style incandescents giving your room a warmth as they vs. simply less light like other LEDs. Le Monde du Foyer is one of the few vendors that can supply Philips warm dimming in a GU10 style. Order arrived on time and in perfect condition.
