Exactly as described
Does exactly what I needed and as described.Safe and easy to use.Make sure to keep it oiled, for optimal performance and maintenance (or lack of the need!)Finally able to cut through some branches that needed removing.Quick cutting and great that it share the same batteries as my other Einhell X-Charge tools!Very versatile and not too big - but can still punch above its weight!Very happy and highly recommended.

Perfect addition to your Einhell toolbox if you have the Power X-Change batteries
This is a great little chainsaw which was tackles most jobs in the garden.I’ve spent the afternoon with a 4Ah battery attached to it and been cutting through 8” tree trunks with easy. Quiet in operation and light to handle, without all the fumes and hassle of a petrol chainsaw.Chain adjustment is really easy and just make sure you have some chain oil to hand, as it doesn’t come with it.Great tool to have especially if you Power X-Change batteries in the shed already.

Decent Chainsaw for small jobs at Home
This is the 1st time had used a chainsaw, so I checked the unit for quality, it was well packaged and sturdy. Easy to build (max 30mins) just take a little more time and make sure you install the chain correctly. I charged up my 5ah 18v battery and it lasted around 60 minutes max, I was cutting down some fur trees and logs and it did cut fine.. The chainsaw did get stuck, but there was no kickback. .I would definitely purchase a helmet and visor plus gloves...My verdict is, if you want to use this for a short period of time, this will do the job and was value for money. I would purchase a petrol chainsaw if you want to use for an afternoon without having to wait for the battery to charge. One small gripeWas surprised no chainsaw oil included at enough to fill the tank 1st time so don't forget to purchase and no small funnel.I have added some pictures so you can see the circumference of the trees that I tackled.

Love Einhell cordless products.
Why did you choose this product over others?:The demo showed the tension mechanics. I had to give away my old chainsaw as my fingers became too weak to adjust the chain. Their products are affordable & reliable. This chainsaw is great & has a very good oil reservoir. Length is good for me to manage & is large & powerful enough to use on my tree trunks. Also the book has a diagram of which way the chain is attached, which is helpful, previously I`ve tried using a replacement blade on the wrong way round - doesn`t work !I love Einhell Xchange products so have several batteries & chargers already. Whatever I need in the future, i will always check out Einhell first. Thank you.

Great if you don't need a full-size chainsaw
It is light and easy to use.Chain tensioning is simple and there are guide symbols moulded into the plastic body saving having to consult the manual. The charge lasts well though I'd advise fitting the highest rated battery. Good for basic logging and small trees, great backup to my 14 inch petrol being much easier to start.

Efficient, quiet and convenient
I was a little put off by others photo's showing a split casing, but decided to have a look because of the cost and convenience of a battery saw. There was no disappointment when I opened the box, only a week later when the price dropped by thirteen quid. And I nearly bought from Wickes who were selling it cheaper originally....Anyway, read the instructions and it was soon up and running. Note you will need to buy oil as there's none supplied. And also note that the chain is not bi-directional, it needs to go on to run in the correct direction. A quick check of the safety cut out and switches and it was running perfectly. Being electric, the chain stops almost instantaneously once you release the switch - very safe.Whilst running, it's very quite. The benefit of it being a battery, and not petrol, is that there's no noise while you're not cutting. I took it out to the local woods early one morning and cut up felled and abandoned trunks and branches, with no worry about disturbing anyone. The supplied Oregon chain is sharp and quiet. It takes seconds to cut through 6" inch diameter pieces - don't expect to cut down rainforests with it, but if need to cut thicker trees, you can always work on two sides of the trunk.Mine came with a 3.0Ah battery and fast charger. The battery itself has 3 led's that show how much charge is left, and it will fully charge in less than an hour. The first picture I've uploaded is the wood I cut, each length being over 2 foot. These were then further cut into smaller lengths for the fire. The second picture shows how many I managed to cut before the battery finally gave up - about half the original pile. I don't think that's bad at all, all on one charge. If I were a tree surgeon, this chainsaw wouldn't be enough. For felling trees and limbs 12" and under, for logging etc. this is very quiet and convenient.

Chainsaw good, needs a provider of reasonably priced replacement chains
I was quite pleased with the practicality of this chainsaw. The problem came in finding reasonably priced replacement chains.

Good cordless and powerful enough to tackle thick branches up to 12 inches
I've been using this to cut down our apple tree which has developed some fungal infection. Works well and powerful enough to tackle big 12 inch branches. I have two batteries so one can charge whilst using the other as needed. First time I've used a chainsaw, was pleasantly surprised how good this battery version worked
